Hello Brothers!

I am working on a new space marine chapter, blood angels successors. The main colors are Orange and Teal, Orange armor with teal shoulder inserts. The chapter symbol is a single feather, which I will be hand painting, it will be white.

Any name suggestions would be helpful as I am at a loss. I will be posting pictures asap (I am at work currently).

What is the chapters specialty? What's the lore behind it? Many chapters form due to specific events or individuals, so finding a aspect or quirk about it that you like may help.

Carlos Hathcock also wore a single white feather ... and he is the one that is pretty much responsible for bringing snipers back to the forefront in our armed services.

Might not be the right symbol for a marine chapter.

But that might be part of the chapter's fluff, e.g.: some defeat where they were wrongly (according to them) accused of cowardice, and so now they wear the feather as a defiant public taunt at anyone who would question their bravery. And maybe the colours are reminders of the location where the battle took place. That could help with naming the chapter too, e.g. it was the Battle of xxxxxx and so they're the 'xxxxxx Avengers' or the 'Ghosts of xxxxxx' or 'xxxxxx Shadows' or similar.

Siege40K, do the colours or the feather have any fluff significance to _you_ re the chapter's history, or have you not thought up any fluff yet? could be good to at least explain how they became a successor chapter, ideally adding some drama (such as above) at the same time.

Pics may certainly help to come up with good names.
As is, being a Blood Angels successor with a white feather as their symbol and the colors of orange and teal, I would enter the words Angel, Feather, White, and Orange into a Thesaurus to get some ideas. Teal doesn't seem to appear too strongly in your color scheme to enter into the game, and as a feather is the symbol, I wouldn't use a blood-themed word, either. So, something related to the color orange and with angels or feathers could work.

Hmm interesting, since they are orange words like Bright, Solar, Magma, Suns, Burning, Fire, Unburnt etc come to mind... the feather is tough though. Someone said Pinions that sounds kinda cool...

Yeah, 'magma' (or 'lava') could be good to reflect that orange colour - Magma Angels or Lava Angels?

Ultimately I have yet to decide on the name. I like a lot of these suggestions and appreciate them. I will post pics shortly as I have a tactical squad more or less completed.

I did not know about the white feather. Honestly I am just looking for an easy free-hand symbol.
