Wow, what a game!

I have spent the day playing down at my FLGS who have a tourney coming up next week so as well as learning the rules I have been used as a guinea pig for people to test their lists against.

I didn't lose a single game

I have fought everything from Ties to Decimators and come out on top with my list I picked for no other reason (as I hadn't played the game before I picked it) than they were the three pilots who I remembered from New Hope the most clearly with upgrades that seemed sensible.

Suffice to say I have now put my name down for the tourney!

I don't think this game will replace my 40k but it is so well paced and easy to pick up and play I am now going to be 'that guy' who tells everyone how good it is!

Wedge - R2 unit, Photons, Expert Handling
Dutch - R5 unit, Ion Cannon.

Already happened

I decided I would like to try a Luke/Wedge/Biggs list so that was another x-wing picked up.

And the store gets it's delivery tomorrow so I have earmarked a B and E wing from that as well !

I cannot say enough good things about the cheap blue squadron B-wing! Every game I've run one it's been more than worth it. I haven't gotten to use my E-wing yet. A Luke/Wedge/Biggs list is an interesting one for sure. It's pretty solid, though I prefer Garven over Biggs personally but then rarely do I ever play in such a manner that I have need for a sacrificial lamb, though Biggs is useful when protecting the shuttle lol.

My group picked up a starter set last weekend.

Within 5 days we now own 3 starter sets and 7 expansion packs. I never thought that small impulse buys could be so refreshing!

I also agree with the blue squadron Bwing. That guy can take a beating. I also find his barrel roll useful once tie fighters get stuck in on you.

The B-wing is your asteroid field dancer. Last night I used a blue with autoblasters to hunt down an academy pilot & Kath Scarlet amongst the mandatory asteroids. Admittedly he had some help from Tycho & a bandit Z but he did most of the heavy lifting while tycho successfully took down Vader.
