With how much of a fuss they were making over people dying if they used their powers, one of the characters becoming human and the other being taken out of the mech was rather disappointing. I figured Misao would use up all her soul or Kanade would Vanish. Also, main villains who kill TONS OF PEOPLE get off scott free, the Daughters were basically consigned to death, and after professing his love to Kanade, Tomoharu can't decide between Misao or Kanade? FETH THAT ENDING.
Spoiler:
Well when they fixed everything, it means they fixed EVERYTHING. So in short a do over, or perhaps a New Game + where you know just how to get a perfect play though. Also, yes the romance gak right at the end, complete with a "What about my star" moment from Kanade and Misao REALLY got on my plums
I mean, it was like being on a 5 star Roller Coaster, complete with emotional ups and downs..... and right before you get back into the station, you realize the track is out two feet in front of the end of the ride :/
At least your not vomiting blood?
I tried watching that series when it came out but just couldn't get into it.
Actually, I just ate a bunch of peanuts (Which I'm allergic to) and started coughing up blood (Which is my reaction. It's not as serious as it sounds, don't worry) so
It did take a while to get into it, but it was relatively rewarding for doing so (Of the non-Trigun/Fullmetal animes I've seen, this one definitely had some of the best characterization I've ever seen.) I especially love/hate the Shur/Tomoharu scene right off the bat; "Give me your hand" *Places his hand on her breast* "This world was destroyed once". Because those two things totally have anything in common with eachother

I should remind you that you are an idiot.
I should remind you that no one needs to remind me of that fact
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

But if it's a video game and the character is literally that blank of a slate, like where you are supposed to be that character, I don't mind it. That makes sense since it allows you to fill in the blanks and say whatever you want, since it's supposed to be you. In an anime it's annoying because I'm not role playing as the main character
Yeah why is this? IS IT
1) TMC is meant to be fantasy projection fodder?
2) They don''t want you to risk not liking TMC (and make him norm-core) - but if you have like a whole other caste then you will probs like at least one of them??
3) Other reasons a silly gaijin will not understand?
Well that really depends. It can be for any number of reasons depending on the case, I was just complaining about the situations where it doesn't fit or feels out of place
Ok, I think anyone can enjoy this: "Fast and Furious" in real life
Spoiler:
I took photos of even more cars but I think those are enough to show what I mean

Yeah. I've really been trying to defend it in general, but feth that killed it for me hard. I'm not quite sure if I'm gonna drop it, but I'm close... Jamie's just cute enough to keep me interested. I'm waiting to see if she'll kiss the moron before the end of the season.
Huh. I end up watching a lot of gak anime for that reason come to think of it.

Yeah, but it doesn't stop them from being awesome pimped-out cars (oh, those engines, they really roar): I really have to watch "Love Live! School idol Project!" . I like Idol anime and this place is filled to the brim with "Love Live" stuff. Walls, promotions, figurines, hell, as you see, racing cars. Is it that good?
I hope so 'cause I really want to watch it now after being bombarded with so much stuff

Yeah, that Was a little over the top. I don't really hate the anime on general though and found it to be alright.

Well, with aldnoah.zero being around and me having started Gundam Unicorn yesterday it's just become so obvious how bad of a mecha series it is.
Hell, the only mech design in it that I like are the " good guys " slow piece of junk trail kriegers. The argevollen itself is ugly as sin.

Ohh I love the animation in Gundam Unicorn! They do a lot of cool innovation to the wacky suit designs from the older series
I think I may have watched a little too much anime today. I was just sitting here watching Ao Haru Ride yelling at the TV "Oh feth off! You know he's getting off that train! Don't you try and increase the dramatic tension with trick shots you !"
That feel when shojo anime raises your blood pressure more then shonen/seinen anime.

Shojo (girl/girls) = Girl's anime (Blue Spring Ride, Inuyasha, anime targeted towards girls and young women, beware, here there be monsters. and drama, so much drama)
Shonen (boy/boys) = Boy's anime or anime targeted towards the same, Gurren Lagen, Naruto, One Piece, Shaman King, Detective Conan, Coffin Princess Chaika, etc
Seinen (young man/young men) = is anime/manga targeted at the 17-40 year old male market, so obviously it covers more mature themes and meanings, many classic anime are part of this genre such as Akira, Ghost In The Shell, Chobits, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Planetes, Elfen Lied, Hellsing, etc, etc ad nauseum. This is also where you start to see your heavy duty fan service and outright sexual situations, though outright porn is of course it's own category.
Josei (lit: comics for women) = Is the female equivalent to Seinen, it has a similar wide net and includes things like Paradise Kiss, Honey and Clover, Angel Nest and Usagi Drop
Kodomo (Children's comics) = What it says on the tin. see Hello Kitty and Poke'mon for some of the bigger examples.
Now it is worth noting there's a fair amount of drift. Just because X is targeted for Y doesn't mean W won't enjoy it. The all ages popularity of say Buffy or Charmed in the U.S. as an example even though the shows were targeted for teens and adults. Or how some adults like things like Lucky Star, or My Little Pony, or even Hello Kitty despite the difference in target age group. Classification usually depends on how or where an anime/manga is first aired or published. For a field guide for those of us running around, romance dramas are most likely shojo, more serious dramas might be Josei, especially if the focus is still from a traditionally feminine perspective, especially with a focus on relationships. Not sure if your favorite scifi gun battle is shonen or seinen? Easy way to check is to examine the themes, if it's hot blooded badassery all the time, chances are you're watching shonen anime, if it's more serious/realistic in it's approach to it's subject material (ex: Ghost in the Shell's investigation into the little matter of the HUMAN SOUL) or the tone is just darker in general, it's probable seinen. So G Gundam is Shonen, 8th MS Team is Seinen.

Fairy Tail was.... bleh. The character powers were cool (Even if half of them are a stretch to be considered "Magic") but it's very much a "Unstoppable Bad Guy runs into the Only Good Guy Who Can Stop Him" type anime. At least Bleach/One Piece/Naruto have actual character development when the main character loses a fight, but with Natsu (As much of a badass as he is) it's basically:
"Let's Fight!"
*Natsu Loses, next episode he gets back up*
"ROUND TWO, MOFO!"
*Natsu Wins by landslide*
You know what I find funny; why do people never recommend Dragon Ball Z in top 10/25 lists of anime you should watch? I understand that it's popular enough that most people have already seen it, but then the same lists include Cowboy Beebop and Full Metal Alchemist.....

Ok, guys, I don't want to read anything other than positive replies or I'll find you and slap you : Not only is this car a symbol of a generation of gamers that played Sega Rally Championship either on the arcades or for the Sega Saturn, everyone here seems to be a fan of the girls:
Spoiler:
As I walking down the street carrying a gak-ton of bags, I noticed the car. I almost dropped everything then. When I noticed who the girls were, I dropped them as I was desperate to reach for the camera in time before the owner would leave or something
And you can see the "Grandpa-bunny" from last season's "Is your order a rabbit?" inside on top of the car's tablier.
