hey, so this is my list for a game this sunday
1)Captain of the empire-60
.full plate armour-6
.great weapon-6

2)10 swordsmen-70
.duelist-10
(didnt get banner or musician because its such a small unit)
80pts
3)15 handgunners- 180pts
4) 10 greatswords-110
counts champion-10
120pts
5) 5 pistoliers-80
total-532 (he doesnt mind me going over points because he's over 25 points anyway)

well, basically i want to know if it's a good list against 520 points of high elves (he has swordmasters, a mage and some fast cavalry)

In that case make the following changes.
Drop greatswords +120
Drop captain +72
Drop five handgunners+45
Take a lvl2 wizard -100
Add 19 swordsmen to your existing block-133
And if he's ok with you being a point over take a dragon bane gem or something on your wizard for five points.

idk, i'd say ill drop the idea of having a wizard, i dislike magic in every way. if i drop 5 handgunners i may aswell drop them all personally.
ok so
.drop all handgunners -180
.drop all pistoliers-80
.add 20 swordsmen to existing unit and get banner and musician +160
.add 6 greatswords to existing unit and get banner + 86
that way i can outnumber his 10 swordmasters with a captain and 16 greatswords. also, my 40 swordsmen can take on his wizard and envelop him, then my army that i have left (probz about 30 swords and 6 greatswords) can take his 5 super fast cavalry! thanks for help

Let me explain my reasons.
Swordmasters will hit your greatswords on 3s with re-rolls due to ASF, then wound on 2s because of S5 leaving you with a 6+ armor save, and if you hit back (they have A2 each) you will be hitting on 4s no re-roll and wounding on 2s at S5, with will only have a ward save (if applicable).
Swordsmen will get armor/parry saves everywhere so they are the best counter (imo).
Also reason for having a wizard is for some ability to dispell, if he takes lore of fire and just six dices fire ball, don't even bother putting down your models.
On the other hand, you could run your 16 greatswords and run your swordsmen as 2 detachments of 15 in 3x5 for some counter charge. And you can swap your captain for a warrior priest, giving your army ward saves/re rolls to hit/re rolls to wound/flaming.

20 swordsmen and captain with banner, musician and duelist-242pts
10 handgunners-120pts
20 swordsmen with duelist and - 150pts
so 20 swordsmen to go after enemy wizard, 10 handgunners to shoot down 5 cavalry, and captain+20 swordsmen to take on the swordmasters. thats the plan

I feel that if you want to charge across the battlefield and play Killy Empire (which your list suggests) then some Knights will be a great boon to your army. That 1+ armour save means they will be your hardiest unit.
If you haven't built your pistoliers yet, I would build them as Outriders instead.

lol i got wrecked,
i decided on this list:
10 handgunners
20 swordsmen with captain
helblaster volley gun
my opponent had: (high elves)
wizard
5 fast cav
10 sea guard
10 swordmasters
i got really bad rolls and he got really good rolls, he killed everyone and i only managed to kill 8 models
