What stops this? From what I read a vehicle is a unit, so its vehicle in range are valid targets for domination. Since Vehicles do not take leadership tests its not possible for a vehicle to pass a leadership test before it moves or shoots essentialy shutting the vehicle down for a turn.

Can't vehicles take a LD test after Perils of the Warp occurs?

Pretty sure that models without Ld automatically pass any Ld tests.

Nope, they just don't take Leadership tests, as a rule.

Vehicles with Psychic Pilot can take Leadership tests where necessary for resolving psychic powers or Perils, yes. That won't help with any other vehicle, though.

Just to provide a page number:
Page 78 at the very end of the page says vehicles never take morale or leadership tests.

Psychic pilot rule can be found on 170, which is the only instance where vehicles CAN take leadership tests.

Read Dominate. The unit only suffers the ill effects when they fail the Ld test. Since vehicles don't take LD tests they won't have failed it and therefore won't suffer the effects of dominate.

It's not quite that simple.

Dominate has a negative effect if you fail, but the power actually specifically requires the unit to pass a Leadership test on order to move, shoot, or cast a power.

The vehicle can't pass the test, because it can't take the test.

So you're correct in that the vehicle doesn't suffer any ill effects of the Dominate power... but that's because the game breaks before you get that far.

Thats actually why i bring this up. Dominate does not lock the unit down if they fail he test. It Locks the unit down, then a test must be passed in order to act. Nothing happens because the test was failed, the unit is already locked down. So with vehicles unable to take the test, they must remain locked down. Not really game breaking.

Yeah and not broken at all since most people default to Shriek anyways if they get Dominate or Mental Fortitude.. : p
