I was reviewing the rules about markerlights, as to whether or not I could use them to boost the BS of fortifications. On P. 68 of the Tau Empire codex, it says about pinpoint, 'All models firing at this target' which I took to mean that there is NO restriction as to allies either? meaning that markerlights could increase the BS of Come the Apocalypse allies as well?

Yes, however to expend the markerlight token, you have to be from Faction (Tau Empires), from memory. So you dont get to that point if you are not Tau.

Yeah I found it. same box, left hand side about half way down. I suppose it is too OP for anyone to benefit from it.

"Immediately before a unit from Codex: Tau Empire shoots at a target that has one or more markerlight counters, it can declare it is using one or more of the markerlight abilities listed below."

That's the relevant bit from the Markerlight's Target Acquired special rule.

It will work on Fortifications, but that Fortification would need to have been selected as a unit from Codex: Tau Empire. I believe the only one in existence is the Sensor Tower Grid from Imperial Armour 3, 2nd Edition. It "is a Fortification choice for a Codex: Tau Empire army."

Would not work on something like a Bastion as those are faction-less and not chosen from Codex: Tau Empire.
