Seriously what is up with them?
I've been ordering codexes via online retailers for the past few years and never had any issues with them... up until recently. Waylandgames is my go-to retailer and when I ordered the Chaos Space Marine codex this December, the problems began...

the codex arrived around christmas with a huge scratch across its front. Obviously miffed, I photographed it, wrote them, and sent it back, initially having to pay the return cost myself (they did refund it to me though). Sent it back pretty much at the beginning of January, took 2 weeks to reach them, took a week for them to receive the replacement codex via
GW mail order (as they apparently had none in stock at all), and another 2 weeks to arrive.
In the meanwhile I had also placed an order for the Necron codex from them.
Well, the codexes arrived a couple days ago, the Necron one was sealed in shrinkwrap like all new codexes, and with an extra layering of bubble wrap around it, but when I carefully unpacked it I discovered it had a scratch too - albeit a minor one at the back.

Disturbed, I unpacked the Chaos Codex from its bubble wrap only to notice two things: 1) it didn't have any shrink wrap which is strange for a new
GW book and 2), the embossing was off. This is clearly
GW's fault and not Wayland's, though they could have seen this before shipping it out to me (I had asked them to do a quality check beforehand).

At this point I'm just pissed off because the whole hassle of sending it back and receiving a new one takes more than one month, and despite having attempted it in my case both of the new codexes come with the same old
bs, just different.
It's too much of a headache for me to start the process all over again, but the reason I'm making this thread is just to ask how common this embossing being off problem is with
GW codexes. Anybody else had bad experiences with buying codexes they didnt have a chance to look before purchase (i.e. through mail order)?
