So the scenario that popped up in our last game was a Tyrannofex near some ruins with some Boyz in the ruins. The Tyrannofex didn't have very good LoS. He could see maybe 2-3 Boyz. However, he could launch his Torrent flame attack and turn the template sideways to hit the 2-3 Boyz he could see, plus another 5 or 6 crowded behind the ruins outside of LoS.

How many Boyz can be wounded by the attack? I know Blast weapons can deviate and hit units outside LoS, but I'm not sure the same thing holds true for Template or Torrent weapons.

This one's covered by the fact that wounds cannot be allocated to models the firing unit can't see. You can still get extra hits on models you can't see by placing the template to hit them (which is weird) but you can only actually kill the models you can see.

Let's add to the complexity. This didn't come up... but it could have.

There is also a unit of Meganobz nearby. The Tyrannofex has no LoS on the Meganobz, they're hidden behind the ruins. But the Tyrannofex can launch the Torrent template, point it sideways, and hit a couple Meganobz.

Can the Meganobz be wounded?

Again, with out special permission, you cannot allocate wounds to models the attacking unit cannot see. Neither the template nor torrent rules provide this permission. So you can hit the models in the second unit (assuming you are able to place the template so that it hits as many models as possible in the target unit whilst also hitting at least one model in the second unit) but becouse you have no line of sight to the second unit at all you cannot wound them at all.
