At Biowizard's request, I am reposting these adventures in their own thread.
------------------------------------------
Jericho's campaign - The First Adventure - Kobolds and Cultists Invade the Town!

A few pics from the first adventure-

Attack on the road - Two cultists, four kobolds against the intrepid party of adventurers. A crypt is seen in the background but goes undetected by the party.

Approaching the town around the nearby castle ...the party sees 6 kobolds attacking two villagers.

The elf ranger engages first to save the villagers ...

The female paladin joins the fray...

Being victorious, the party escorts the villagers deeper into the town and is ambushed by a cultist leader on the bridge with three cultists jumping the party from behind...

After defeating the three cultists, the party engages the leader.

While not shown in the pictures, we were victorious. In the next adventure, we will continue to clear the town and, hopefully, get an audience with the king in the castle...

The next adventure happened yesterday.

The party:
Sorn, the Barbarian (figure changed from previous adventure)
Lady Emerys, the Paladin of Tyr (figure changed from previous adventure and subject to further change in future)
Rasec, the High Elf Wizard
Bludrac, the Drow Ranger (figure changed from previous adventure and subject to further change in future)

Jericho has put up a nice adventure blog at:

https://sites.google.com/site/theeventidechronicle/dark-skies-campaign

He does a much better job at describing the adventure. But here's the gist of it-

Having defeated the cultists on the bridge while escorting the townsfolk to the castle, the party presses on to the castle. Traversing the bridge, the party spots another group of kobolds attacking townsfolk and heroically engages them-

After making short work of the kobolds, the party enters the castle and meets with the captain of the guard. The captain sends the party on a mission to protect the mill of the town from the incursion.

The party travels to the mill through the town and then the forest...

And gets ambushed by three incredibly large, dire, war dogs of the cultists. A fierce battle ensues with the ranger falling to the large grey dog.

After emerging victorious and reviving the ranger, the party climbs up the hill to the mill, which is next to a recently abandoned guard tower. Group of 6 cultists make their way up to the mill. The party fails their stealth checks (with miserably bad rolls), resulting in the party's carefully orchestrated ambush preparations being for naught. A fierce combat ensues...

The party was again victorious, successfully protecting the town's mill. The party returns to the castle only to find it being stormed by more cultists. Many dead townspeople and guards are strewn about the main gate. Unfortunately, the tide of battle is turning against the town protectors as evidenced by the attackers having managed to pry the main gate open. The party puts up a strong defense on the drawbridge, facing a heavy assault by 4 kobolds, 2 cultists and a mercenary.

Guards position themselves to protect the citizens within the castle walls

The fighting is fierce but the party turns the tide back around.

The party is victorious and is able to knock the mercenary unconscious, bringing him into the castle for a less-than-gentle interrogation by the party and the captain of the guard.

The interrogation bears fruit. The mercenary informs the party and the captain of an evil presence that has made its home in the graveyard near the town. The party agrees to investigate.

Appearing to sense the presence of the party, something emerges from the catacombs entrance - a formidable undead warrior, a wight! The party bravely attacks, with the barbarian and the ranger's melee attacks being largely ineffectual.

Fortunately, the wight's defenses fail to protect it from the paladin's righteous fury, and she skewers the wight with multiple mighty blows, bolstered by radiant damage.

The paladin's efforts secure her the MVP slot of the game. And the adventure ends with the party having advanced from first to second level. Stay tuned for the next adventure when our intrepid adventurers will explore the catacombs...

I know a lot of the buildings look like Tabletop World

I dont like all of the random colours on some of the buildings (like on the roofs). looks very odd.

This is one of the most extraordinary threads on the entire Dakka forum in my opinion, the collection of models is not only exquisite (and very boutique!) but they are painted to a suitably high caliber to match!

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, given that it appears modular as well which takes it to another level of desirability, entirely.

I'd love to play on it, that's for certain!

I have to disagree. They look pretty close to how real wooden shingles do when left in disrepair. Especially because there aren't exactly too many Home Depots to buy new lacquer and roofing materials in the Old World, they fit in just fine.

its very bright. neon green, bright yellow in some places and purple spots. I have never seen that in the real world.

if anything old wooden shingles grow patches of moss or even grass. I would consider using moss pads or tufts.

This thread is every D&D's / Pathfinders / other RPG player's dream! SO BEAUTIFUL!

I must ask, how did you get so many perfect terrain pieces for your campaign? Did someone make it specially for it? Everything looks GORGEOUS.

I am glad you guys like this thread. As long as Jericho keeps putting together new adventures and as long as you guys continue to express interest, I will keep posting more adventure pics. We play about once a month.

All of the terrain and models are hand painted. Most of the buildings are Tabletop World buildings. Regarding the Tabletop World building paint job, I can understand that opinions can vary, but I personally like the paint job a lot. I actually think it looks quite detailed and realistic. The green hues are the type of fine moss that can grow on wooden, untreated shingles or beams. Using actual flocking for this fine moss resulted in too strong of an effect. Regarding the variation in the stone colors, that depends on where the stones are obtained. It does not strain credulity to see variation in stone colors, where some stones a more reddish, purplish or yellowish than other stones. Check out the following picture-

In the end, of course, it is simply a matter of opinion and taste.

Thanks, guys.

Here's the next installment guys.

Jericho's a great dungeon master. We are having a fantastic time with him. He put together a great blog. I will duplicate his words below to make it easy on you guys, and I will provide the link to his blog at the end.

The door to the crypt has been forced open.

As they enter the crypt they discover that the corpses of townspeople who were killed in the raid have been dragged into the crypt. A thin line of chalk has been drawn in front of the door to the next room. The companions begin to discuss what the chalk means - worried that it could be some magical trap. Sorn, throwing caution to the wind, scuffs the chalk line out with his boot.

As he does this, the copses begin to stand up. Before they know what is going on they are surrounded by zombies clamoring to devour them. They spring into action.

Sorn swings his hammer in a wide arc and smashes two. They fall but after a few moments they stand back up! Rasec sends a volley of fire at one of them but it seems to have no effect. Emyrs prays to her god and her glaive begins to glow with righteous fury just before sinking into the skull of one of the fiends. It crumbles to dust before their feet. Sorn's tactic has changed. Now his plan is to beat them to a bloody pulp so that if they are still alive they are immobile bloody pulps. Together they manage to bring down the undead swarm and press on.

The floor is covered with dust and they can make out four distinct humanoid foot prints. They follow them into the next chamber were they find a large hole in the floor and pick axes abandoned nearby.

Those that they are pursuing must have dug into the crypt floor. But why?

Bludrak lowers himself through the hole in the floor via his grappling hook and discovers a cavernous system.

The others follow. Once the torch light illuminates the room they discover crude primitive painting on the cavern walls. They recognize them as orc tribal markings. They can't help but be disturbed that there are orcs this close to Waystone.

Looking around the room they see various fungi. Not all is as it seems though. As they move forward the large cavern mushrooms begin to slowly move toward them.

The fungi weren't much of a challenge for the party and they were quickly immobilized. Prepared for the worst the party pressed forward. The muddy cavern floor reveals very clear foot prints of the men they are following. Oddly, they seem to have passed the fungi unimpeded. Bludrak, being able to see in the dark, scouts ahead. While passing through a narrow passage he comes face to face with two orcs.

They are completely surprised and flee into the adjacent room. Bludrak warns the others of what lies ahead. They quickly move into the room before the orcs can mount an effective strategy. As soon as they enter the two orcs let their javelins fly. Sorn dodges one but in doing so puts himself in the path of the other and it grazes the edge of his shoulder. This only made him angry though and he charges forward. The rest of the party, being slightly more strategic fall in and give support.

The skirmish was short and one orc tried to flee but was died before he made it to the next room. The companions notice that these orcs looked deranged. They have "crazed" eyes and looked partially starved. Carved on their skin were scars forming crude orc art. Something is driving these orcs mad - what did they discover in this cave?

The companions continue on and eventually reach another room and more orcs. These orcs are also crazed but they heard them coming and were prepared. The orcs hid behind a stalactite hoping to ambush the party. The ambush was poorly exercised and the party was not hindered. After the orcs were defeated they noticed that the tracks continued but never seemed to stop or pause. One would think that if they were in league with the orcs that they would at least stop to talk to them. The owners of these tracks seem to be slipping by the orcs somehow. Sorn surmises that they must be using witchcraft to conceal themselves; Rasec silently nods in agreement more aptly thinking that they must under the effect of an invisibility spell. Whatever the owners of these tracks are seeking, they will certainly obtain it before the party can catch up to them.

The party continues to follow the tracks and eventually find themselves in a large cavernous chamber. The trickling of water from a cavernous stream is loud but they can still hear two orcs berating something from behind an outcropping of rocks. Sorn, understanding orcish, tells the others that they appear to be coaxing something to "come out" while insulting it by referring to it as a "big hairy beast". Bludrak wonders to himself if the orcs were talking to Sorn. Concealed by the noise from the stream, the party devises a tactic. Rasec, Emrys, and Bludrak scale up the rocky outcrop and take positions on a ledge. They can now see two orcs with a slab of meat attempting to persuade something from coming out of a large hole. Sorn does his best to impersonate an orc and screams out in orcish from behind the rocky outcrop, "intruders! Come to my aid you idiots".

The orcs, buying the ruse, charge forward and just before they pass under the ledge one shouts out, "Big hairy beast, come get fresh meat". Smelling the fresh meat, the big hairy beast roars. His roar blasts from the hole and echos throughout the chamber. An owlbear charges from the hole and roars again. Bludrak screams, "it's a hoot-bear". Sorn, pinned down by the orcs, cannot come to their aid as he has his own problems. The owlbear charges forward as Rasec, Emrys, and Bludrak attack at range.

When he gets underneath him he jumps up and lands two devastating blows on Emrys. She is injured but continues to fight. Sorn dispatches with one of the orcs by turning its head into a pulp with his mighty maul. The other lands a blow injuring him but as usual this just makes him angrier. Rasec launches a volley of fire at the owlbear burning its flesh and hair which fills the chamber with a foul odor. Emrys lands a blow with her glaive just as the owlbear misses her with a second attack. Bludrak tosses his dagger at the owlbear while simultaneously stabbing downward with his rapier and deals a deadly blow. The owlbear, injured, backs away like a wounded animal before collapsing in a heap just as Sorn finishes off the last remaining orc. It isn't unusual for orcs to capture dangerous creatures when they are young and raise them under extreme abuse in order to control them for use in battle. This fact makes the party nervous as they follow the tracks forward...
