Well tactics pretty simple. One Libby takes telepathy and hope for invis. Depending who I'm playing I would roll for the other Libby too if I don't get it. The two Libby's will roll with the terminators for wounds. If I get gate I will start on the board. If I get the warlord trait that lets them come for free or I don't get gate I will deep strike. The purifiers will go after infantry and Flying MCs. The dreadknoghta will shunt first turn if needed to lay some dakka down and the errant will do what he does best . I will cast invis if I get it on the errant of needed or the dreadknights. I've come to find a lot of people don't like purifiers but I have ran this list against a few armies now and it's worked really good with the purifiers being the MVPs. I didn't have the errant in the other lists tho. Any tips or thoughta would be great! Thank you!

Looks like a good List. I normally roll everything with a 2+ save, so its nice to see something else in a list.

Thanks. I have played three games with a list very close to this one. The differences were a land raider for the terminators and a storm raven(which doesn't do much) and one less Libby. I played against a daemon summoning list with belikor , nids and eldar with two Knights and won all three. I like terminators and the dragio censtar but I love purifiers more. Having three units to give 2 warp charges and three cleansing Flames is not only fun to me but great on the board. The rhinos can get there faster than what people expect and survive better than what woolen think too because with the other threats on the board they normally don't get shot that fast. Two of the three games I didn't lose the rhinos until turn three and by then they were in the other players face and I have yet to lose a purifier squad. I love them and don't think they get enough love!! Lol

Doesn't look like a tournament legal List. Most majors allow 2 detachments. The nsf is one but you can only take a single knight as an ally in a cad and nsf is a detachment that can't be a primary in a cad to my knowledge

The list is legal by 2 sources, and cool.

I would suggest upgrading those hvy incins to hvy psycans though. You have anti infantry all over but you lack med strength ranged presence nearly to the point of exclusion.

I find the ndh to be sufficient on those NDKs if pts are tight, or even bare. You will miss a force weapon if you face MCs of any variety or D lords though so if possible keep one form or the other.

Also I don't see much reason for the incinerators on the purifiers beyond overwatch. I mean they can come in useful here and there but it costs you 2 force weapon attacks and can't be used very well with cleansing flame since one burns the other out of range. The incin is also useless if you move at cruising speed, which is where cleansing flame shines.

Anyway cool list overall.

How can you take a solo knight errant unless it's an Ally in a cad?
this list is unbound as I'm seeing it.

IKs can also be their own detachment of 1-3 knights.

My problem is with the falchions.

They suck. You don't need the extra attack, and when you do, you need to hit with a beating. I would replace with a halberd.

Also - psilencer? Replace with psycannon.

I don't understand why people do not like storm ravens with Grey Knights. I usually run 2 because they are awesome (multi-melta and assault cannon with those missiles) and have a great alpha strike.

Thanks for all the replys! I was thinking the same think about the incinerators on the purifiers. I was running them as silencers and they did pretty good. I don't like to run them as psycannons because when they move its only 2 shots at 12". Also one dreadknight has heavy incinerator and a heavy psycannon, the other has a Gatling silencer and heavy psycannon. I do lack some tank killings but outside a IG parkkng lot I don't see that many lists where mech would be a problem for the knight and dreadknight.

As far as the falchions I am trying to play the models as WYSIWYG. I got some of these models from a trade and they are very well painted and I don't want to mess up the model by trying to swap the weapons and I just bought the second dreadknight so I don't have the money to buy more models lol

I thought Psilencers were also heavy weapons.

Another note:
The Servo Skulls that you get with an inquisitor
they don't only reduce deep strike scatter within 12" to 1d6
but they also reduce weapon template scatter to 1d6, and can be useful if you put them mid-board to effectively shoot stuff with your imp knight.

Silencers are heavy but when you move 12" you can fire snap shots.

Psilencers are hvy 6 psycans are salvo 2/4. Both are pretty meh on power armour outside of neat tricks like 4 psycans inside a bunker.

Honestly the most common mistake IMO is over tooling GK forces. They already come armed to the teeth with frag/krak/psych even in TDA, power weapons across the board etc. Stock is fine especially in the case of purifiers.

I do feel the force weapon upgrades have their place but a lot just depends on their role. For example I rarely put a hvy weapon on my termies anymore (I run allies most times now though) because it just doesn't do enough. I would rather just focus the unit on anti infantry duty and scoring and handle armour in combat.

Well I have made some minor changes but I feel it kind of completes the list as a whole. Here is the "new" list

Lvl 3 librarian-185
Combi-melta
Curiass of sacrifice
Domina liber book
Halberd

Lvl 3 librarian-145
Combi-melta

Troops
5 Grey knight terminators-175
Daemon hammer

5 purifiers-160

Rhino

5 purifiers-160

Heavy
Dreadknight-225
Heavy incenirator
Heavy psycannon
Greatsword
Teleporter

Dreadknight-235
gatling psilencer
Heavy psycannon
Greatsword
Teleporter

Knight errant-370

Inquistion detactment
Ordo malleus inquisitor-34
3 servo skulls

Over all tactics stay the same but now I have 3-4 units for infantry and 3-4 for tank hunting and 3 units for AA. So the changes I made are down sizing the terminators to just a hammer and use them just for infantry and objective takers. Also added Combi meltas to the Libby's for some extra tank killing if needed. Dropped the special weapons off the purifiers and running them stock. Also added an inquisitor for the skulls. He will just ride with a unit or hide in a building on an objective and just hold it as long as he can. Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks . Also how would this list fare in a tournament you guys think? Thanks again!!

Relics say a model may take one of them. For Grey Knights this is on page 59. "A model can take one of the following:"

The intent is made especially clear when you compare it to Special Issue Wargear on the same page, for which "A model can take up to one of each of the following:"

Your list has 2 Relics on one Character. You could move one to the other Librarian to make the list legal.

How are they an alpha strike? They can only enter the board on turn 2 at the earliest, and without a comms relay or similar they often don't come on until turn 3 or later.

3+ roll is a fail 33% of the time, which in common English would equal occasionally, or perhaps even regularly, but certainly not often.

I'd consider putting the Librarian with one of the Purifier squads, hopefully getting Gate and coming right into the middle of them, the Cleansing Flame from the purifiers [and the librarian if he has it] - then put the saved rhino points into a second Incinerator and some Halberds for this squad. Should be fine for warp charge as your looking at between 16 & 21 dice per turn.

You could also put 2 librarians in this squad and gate back once your done, just keep doing this each turn while everything else moves up the board. Even if you can't gate back you can still fire 2 incinerators in the shooting phase and take on any kind of counter charge with overwatch on 2 flamers, would be a nice little distraction unit to keep the enemy busy. And if you survive till the next turn just switch the sequence round, cleansing flame in combat which would be nasty if there are lots of enemy units around then gate out of combat etc etc.

In the case of 2 Stormravens, you have more than a 50% chance of one of them failing to come on turn 2. Which to me means 'often'.

Still that isn't really my point. An Alpha Strike typically means being able to hit something before they have a chance to react. If most of your army is on the board already then I don't see how Stormravens arriving turn 2 equates an alpha strike.

I agree with your points on reserves and it's definitely not an alpha strike, more a beta strike but whatever. That aside ravens bring ranged ap2 that we otherwise lack entirely. Even after the missiles are spent a ravens weaponry is favorable to that of more terminators for comparable cost. Plus it's a mobile scoring unit in an otherwise slogging army.

Skyshield Landing Pads could be used to start Storm Ravens on the board, and they'd have a 4++ Invulnerable save as long as they were on the Pad in the shielded configuration. And it only costs 80 points with the upgrade. Not a bad investment really.

OR Imperial bunker with comm relay for 75 points - helps with your deep strikes AND your reserve flier rolls. :-) takes you from 66.7% to 88.9%

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Put your inquisitor in the bunker, and you add multi-melta servitors for 10 points each
