Hi guys, I'm pretty new here and just wanted to show you some of the stuff I've been working on recently. Basically I've always had a love for miniature wargaming so I'm having a go at setting up a small company called The Miniatures Apprentice, and having a go at producing some of my own models.
The first that I have created is one called the Mantis battlesuit, which is a very customisable model in many different parts. I 3D modelled this then had the masters 3D printed, and now it is successfully in production. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what they look like once assembled, let me know what you think
There's basically two base models; the mantis battlesuit then a flying version of the mantis, then a whole load of customisation add ons like different weapons, heads etc.

Some of them have a wash of black ink on them to bring out the detail a bit better, but it's a bit messy in areas. I'm getting one painted up at the moment but my painting skills are a bit out of practice. If you'd like to see more you can find my website at www.theminiaturesapprentice.com

This is awesome, gret to see someone giving it a go with selling 3D printed minis that look good. Make sure to let us know when that dragon is done.

A criticism though, the pics are very dark on your site, especially the dragon. Hopefully when it's done you can display the detail quality a bit better. Very cool so far from what I can tell.

Also, I've always felt having fingers in the pic looks plain tacky, even on WIPs. Treat it like it's something worth showing off like the completed sculpts!

Thanks very much for the feedback!
I know what you mean about the pictures, with the Mantis I'm hoping to get some much better ones up ASAP once I've got some painted up.
With regards to the dragon, the reason I've had to have my hands in the way for some of the later pictures is to hold him up- I've planned the armature out very poorly and the main body's currently detached from the base. The reason for this is that when I started him I didn't intend him being anywhere near the size he is now, just a small dragon resting around a nest- I've just got a bit carried away with him haha.
