Hello Dakka,

After just completing the bulk of my Tau Farsight Enclaves, I've decided to start an Eldar Craftworld army using items I've picked up of the past few years. It usually takes me a while to complete certain objectives (usually due to other shiny things) so I'm hoping this will help keep me on track and my motivation high.

First I'll start off with the paint scheme, Blue and orange. Primarily because my wife saw a pattern in an older white I had open and said "That's cool, I'd learn how to play if you had an army that looked like that". So here is the first few models.

Once the scheme was met with approval, a squad of Guardians, Warlock and Farseer was to accompany them.

Now Last Night I bagan working on the second troops (Rangers), here is the 1st of 5.

And the first draft of the how a unit of howling banshees will look (WIP)

Please feel free to comment and provide any feed back. I'm looking forward to continuing this blog and with your support will be providing updates frequently.

Cheers,

Interesting use of the blue and orange. Using it to edge gives the armor a unique look. Sort of a gilded, fancy armor. And if it’s what The Wife desires, who’s to argue?

The ranger and banshee are more of a classic scheme, and well executed.

Do you have an army list in mind? Goal size? Theme?

Good luck with the Eldar and the blog!

Nice orange trim on the guardians, really helps to break them up, very impressive!

I look forward to seeing your take on some of the larger flat areas on Eldar troops, like jetbikes and tanks!
Keep it up!

Really unusual scheme - looks fantastic though! As mentioned it almost looks like a blue armour gilded in orange. Great basing too!

So I was distracted this weekend with a tournament at my FLGS, coupled with finally receiving the Harlequins codex, it wasn't an overly productive weekend. However, I was able to finish my rangers squad:

Just need to do the basing and next on the list will be the Howling Banshees

Dont really have a list in mind as of yet. Pretty much going to work with what I already have from over the years and add on from there. The goal would be to get a decent 1850 list going by middle of June. What I have in the collection at the moment is:

2 Farseers (1 Painted already)
3 Warlocks (1 Painted)
30 Guardians (15 Painted) with heavy weapons
5 Rangers (99%)
15 Dire Avengers (Still unassembled)
8 Howling Banshees (WIP)
2 squads of 6 Swooping Hawks (love the models)

Pretty sure I'll be picking up a few tanks, and that's all I know for now until they get play tested a bit.

Really neat look - almost looks like Chaos Marine-style armor trim. Bright orange is very nicely offset by the natural green and brown basing. Looking forward to seeing how you apply the scheme on other units, particularly vehicles.

Hello again Dakka,

Thanks for the comments and I hope to not let you down. I spend a lot of time abroad working so that's why there's been a delay in posts. However I've finally finished these 2 units and they came out really well.
