Subject: Necron Wraith Whip Coils 2 Weapons question
|
 |
Shas'la with Pulse Carbine
|
Wraith with Whip Coils
The weapon is pluralized and has a melee profile with the swift strike rule.
Because of the pluralization of "Coils", and the models having 1 coil per "arm" modeled to them do they count as 2 close combat weapons and thus giving them 1 extra attack?
I only ask because i think the space wolf supplement has the claws of morkai and they are considered 2 weapons without saying pair or Murderfangs' "Murder Claws", also considered 2 weapons. Also, are DC Dreads with blood claws worded similarly?
Am I way off here? Or could I be right and they are scarier than we thought?
Sorry if this was asked before. I could not find it, infact I can't find anything on other WH40k sites that discuss this.
Your thoughts?

If it was a pair of weapons it would have said so.

Whip Coils are a single weapon. Unless a weapon specifically says it counts as two weapons, it doesn't.

Check the Codex, my friend.
Whip Coils - S User, AP -, Melee, Swiftstrike
Swiftstrike - A model attacking with this weapon adds 3 to its Initiative during the fight sub-phase.
They are effectively CCWs that make a Wraith I5.
