Hello,
I know back in 6th edition when Escalation was released, there was a rule stating that if your opponent fielded a LOW and you did not, you would receive an extra VP for every 3 wounds/hull points removed from the model. Is this the case still for 7th edition? I cant find a ruling in the rule book or are we expected to still use the rules in the Escalation book?
Thanks,

7th ed basicaly tells you to feth off if you don't have a LoW to play.
So has far as i know there is no rules to aid or compensate someone thats doesn't have la LoW.

Super heavies aren't so tough.
Baneblades come apart when you apply power klaws the same as all the other tanks
More on topic though, I was under the impression those rules were still what you used to field superheavies? If nothing else I see tournaments played this way

I have no real issues with Lords of war but I typically don't use them myself. I played a game last night and the ruling came up. We had a draw but at the end my opponent (who fielded a Bane blade variant from the escalation book) said that I took 3 hull points off the tank so I got the extra point for the win.
Its been a while since I played against a LOW so I took his word for it. Afterwards I tried looking it up but with no success.

The extra VP from a LoW is from a specific scenario in the Escalation book, not a general rule.

Thanks,
7th Edition basically made the Escalation book useless. Almost all the rules are in the 7th edition rule book. The rule you are talking about was a special mission rule. I've seen tournament add the rule back in as well as the +1 to seizing the int. if you don't have a LoW. I recently saw an event where they change the rule from LoW to Super Heavy/ LoW. This was to award players for dealing with their opponent's knight titans. Personally, I liked the change. Sucked if you were a Knight player, but most that had a knight were using it as an Allie detachment for their army.

Escalation is still where all the superheavy datasheets you can use outside of apoc games are printed. Well that and some forgeworld books.
Out of curiosity, how do those tournaments handle non super heavy lords of war? I think there is at least 2 now right?

You only use the "Impending Doom" and "Through Attrition, Victory" rules when playing an Altar of War: Escalation mission. This is corrected in the FAQ for Escalation.
So no, you do not gain any special bonuses playing against Lords of War in standard missions.
