OK, so I received my Shield of Baal: Leviathan book a couple of days ago, so really, I am hyped about being able to take 3 flyrants, but I am also liking the fact that you can take 9 troops.

I have all of the models to support this list, but is it a solid list? I must admit that I love genestealers, so am I just being nostalgic?

Here's the list I've cooked up so far.

Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to get your Carnifex's and Tyrannofex spore pods? That way, you can have an entirely mobile force - Infiltrate or Outflank Genestealers, reserve Tyrants, and Deep Strike your heavy hitters. Could win some games with some smart play.

Possably. But it depends on your play style. Genestealers are just overpriced, and they are very fragile. That being said MSU is an effective play style...

The main suggestions for change are to add in some Shrouding, especially if you are using Stealers. Second lose Regen on the Tyrannofex, spend 10 points for a Electro bug Thorax hive, and spend the remaining 20 on something else.

Those two things will give your list a serious boost.

Yeah, I was iffy on regen. Maybe eltroshock grubs and adrenal glands for the tyrannofex?

Regen on Tyrannofex is good, but only in low point games for future reference.

You could actually remove the 4th Ripper base which would leave you with 35pts spare after EGrubs (highly recommended). That's enough to give Fighter Ace to your Warlord (so either increase Synapse, 5 Wounds or invulnerability to opponents shooting). Alternatively, you could forgo on Zoanthrope and slot in a Malanthrope for Shrouding (and more durable Synapse) at the expensive of 2 WC.

Good advice. You could also look at adding in a Formation. For example Hyper Toxic comes with three Venos, so that would add a Lot of Shrouding, a Winged Tyrant, and a fairly good CC Big Bug. 2000 is a lot of points, so there are lots of options.
