Hey all,
New WH40k player here, I've got about 1500 points of necrons I'm pretty familiar with more so than any other army anywho.
I've got a bit of green envy though and want some Orks. To start I want to get a proper allied detachment (whether or not its on the allied table I don't mind, people I play are fine with anything in particular in that regard) but it requires an HQ and I was interested in taking an Ork Warboss with a warbike for part of its wargear.
Is there any way to buy an ork warboss on a bike or do I not only get to play pretend war but pretend warbike for this boss? I can't find a model or anything online in this regard other than a specific forgeworld model that looks absolutely huge in comparison to other warbikers.
Guess I'm asking is what are your thoughts regarding playing a standard warboss on its normal base and just moving him as though he's on a bike because at this point I dont see other options. I do plan on buying a pack of bikers but I dont want to buy a 2nd pack just to get a spare bike to mangle my warboss and model him on that if I can avoid it.
Thanks in advance!

You could always put the torso of the AOBR Warboss on the legs of a normal biker and put him on a bike. I did this, altough I did it with a Forgeworld Nob biker which has a larger bike and legs anyhow.
The forgeworld Bikerboss is a very nice model btw and not as huge as you might think he is.

Yeah your best bet is kitbashing one. A nob biker, add some more bitz and gubbinz, maybe use an actual warboss torso. Then you'll have a warboss.

Thanks guys for the responses. I'll probably end up kit bashing as suggested. That being said I may take another look at the biker boss from forgeworld again as time gets closer for me to pick it up.
Thanks again

Forgeworld Ork boss on bike. One of the coolest models there are.

This thing is just too cool. I know you said you don't want it but come on, he is so cool!!
I wouldn't be cool with you using a normal warboss and just saying he is on a bike.

Well, hes suppose to be huge compared to other warbikers.
Place a Warboss next to a Boy. The Warboss is nearly twice as tall. Means he needs a bigga bike!
If you dont want to shell out the teef for the Forgeworld bike you have to kitbash him. Was actually my first conversion project and i pulled it off fine.
However personally thats one of those models that i feel NEEDS to be kitbashed and personalized. He's your boss, da warlord, he needs ta be da baddest Marine killa yeh've eva seen!
Here's mine if you want some inspiration. Hes technically Wazdakka but sadly Wazzy is no more. I still get props for this model and hes OLD now

Oh i wouldnt be cool with it either quite honestly, was just trying to figure out what most people do.
That being said Vineheart01 brought up a point I didn't think about how the warboss is larger in scale anyway than the regular boyz so it makes sense his forgeworld model on a bike would be too. I'll almost certainly go the FW route and pick that up whenever I can. Also vineheart thanks for that pic that looks impressive! nice job!

The Forge World biker is huge, big enough he should be a MC , and he generally accepted as being Zhardsnark da Rippa.
I would recommend the Max Mini Badass Orc Biker, he is about the size of the AOBR warboss bodywise, comes with a klaw, and he is cheaper.

This is my bikerboss. Since I couldn't find a big enough torso and didn't feel like mutilating the AOBR warboss, I just made the bike bigger instead.
