So after recently playing through the Dark Souls series again, I feel absolutely compelled to bring in the "invasion" aspect into my 40k gaming world. I need some help however! For those of you unnaware, in DS, you can load into other peoples' games in an effort to kill them and reap various rewards- I want to mimic this with a single model/small unit from ANY codex available. The only two ideas that I currently have are the Officio Assassinorum Assassins, or the Space Wolf Lone Wolves. What else could I use? I'd prefer it if the suggestions have the ability to either DS/infiltrate or move really fast! Thanks!

Legion of the Damned gets my vote. Small unit, fairly specialized, but slow moving, so it might not throw a game off entirely if managed tactically. I'm not actually sure I find the idea very "fair," but I could definitely see how some games could end up being more exciting as long as the others players thought the idea was fun and inventive.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field. |

Lictors or burrowers for 'nids. Solitaires for harlequins. Illic (or something mechanically similar) for eldar. Possibly an autarch or striking scorpion/warp spider exarch if you'd rather. A squad of mandrakes for dark eldar.

ATTENTION. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Maybe a herald rolling on daemonology? Any daemon unit really, incursions are nice and fluffy.
