I play draigocenstar and in my version I play a stormraven and a stormtalon to deal with flyers... Wondering if I should just allocate the almost 400 points somewhere else and literally ignore the flyers all game.

My biggest hesitation with this is auto losing to certain lists such as flying circus. I realise this could be an issue for other armies short on points and teetering on going small anti flyer or ignore and focus on the board / missions.

Thoughts? Suggestions for the points? Thanks in advance

It was the suggestion. I'll expand the answer a bit.

1 raven is not enough to deal with a full flying circus and will just be focused down with vector strikes and shooty psy-powers. Also, expect at least one Slaanesh DP fishing for iron arm in there. You might make one of them go jinking. Or you might be able to finish one off but it's a considerable ammount of points invested on your part.

Furthermore, as you bring a flyer and not FMC you're forced to start off board or buy a landing pad or comms relay.
Starting so many points off board - flyer and an expensive squad inside - is a huge gamble. You might arrive too late. And you will have worse board controle turn one. And board controle is key to victory in 7-th with maelstorm.
Landing pad means you're sitting there with your av12 and 4++ the first turn. Means you have chances to not go airborn at all. Don't get me wrong, av12 and 4++ ain't bad but it's a risk and +50 pts for a fortification.
Comms relay is considerable points investment once again. Not bad when you build your army around it, though. But we're going back to board controle problems with massed reserves.

As i've allready mentioned, board controle is very important in 7-th. Flyers are bad at it. FMC are better but not really great either. You can use it.

At least i play with absolutely no anti-air and doing fine with footslogging orkses. That's my pov on the matter.

It's not like a raven and talon don't contribute anything against non air targets. If you said stalker, hunter or quad gun it'd be a more cut and dry choice. But a raven and talon can properly screw with opponents who don't have decent AA themselves.
If you have an assault army, ignoring flyers is a viable option as it will cut down their targets when you get into assault. But you have to ask yourself (if not playing maelstrom), how are you going to stop those necron warriors/immortals in a scythe grabbing the objectives at the end of the game?

Answer here is to have tough objective secured troops already on the objective. That would let the warriors/immortals contest, but not control with a late game grab.
If you're running an expensive heavy support/lord of war death star, that doesn't really help you.
It's possible that your 2 flyers isn't enough, and your Drag-Cent-Star isn't ideal with flyer spam. I'd say you have a decent list, but you have a bad match up with fly-spam.

Thanks all for the insight and comments... I guess I agree mostly with keeping the list as is and just hoping to not get paired with flying spam armies... I feel I have a great matchup against most other lists anyways... And the fliers I do bring are like you said still good against the rest of the lists out there because they can't really hurt me while I can at least harrass them back and use to grab late game objectives...

I would ignore flyers altogether. When I run terminator-heavy GK I just ignore them, because most don't deal enough damage to chew through all that 2+ armor. My libby deals with psychic threats, FMC's are a case-by-case basis. Centstar is going to be similar, especially if you've got invisibility...remember you don't have to cast it on your deathstar if they don't need it. I would recommend spending the points instead on 5-man tactical squads with drop pods or bikes. Increase your scoring presence so it will take longer for your opponent to "kill the rest of the army" and "play the mission", both of which are tactics against deathstar armies like yours.
