Curious how the 90* movement
FMCs have when swooping is supposed to work. I have the below arc of visibility which is a total 90* angle. The way I move my own
FMCs is I place that template on my models front facing. Then I turn it so the front facing is within the 90* arc template.
Like so: Yellow is the direct front of the models facing. Red is the 90* angle area I'm allowed to move my facing towards. Then I proceed to move my
FMC.
Ran into a conundrum this past weekend. I played against an opponent who was turning his
FMCs, to what I thought was more 180* instead of 90*. I could be wrong but I just wanted to verify. (If I'm wrong I've been jipping myself extra movement so it would be beneficial for me to know how to move my swooping Flyrants properly) The judge ruled in his favor that you can take the template and turn it to the complete left or right of the model and point that direction. Isn't that 180* then if you allow a
FMC while swooping to turn completely left or completely right of it's front?
This is how the judge ruled. He could turn his direct front all the way to the right or to the left (red) then proceed to move. This is all objective and I just want to know how to properly move my flyers and also get clarification so I or my fellow gamers do it properly as per the rules.
I could be completely wrong and the 90* could be taken from anywhere on the front of the base instead of the direct front. Looking forward to your help and clarification. Thanks!
