Sadly, I don't know any Sons lore. It's one of the reasons I've never really made a chapter that wasn't one of the main ones before. I think GW could stand to spend a little time fleshing out the basics of quite a few of their lesser known marine armies. I mean all it takes is a good writer making a few characters, maybe a chapter relic or special rule that isn't too game breaking, a little focus on a chapters background and colors, and a few listings of "official" battles they went through.

For most writers, that's about the amount of work one can do in an afternoon.

It only becomes more work really when they specifically use them in large engagements with multiple other groups. I'd personally like reading more lore about a bunch of the different chapters they invented.

Anyways, sorry that's not really on topic, was just thinking thoughts right into your post.

So my first army was the SoM and I'm revisiting them after a bit of a break from Marines and I figure all these other threads discuss other chapters lore and such so why not for the Sons?

Anyways, Setol Sollex. He was the guy who led the Schism followers and helped avoid fratricide. I believe he was the first official chapter master of the Sons as well. But what sort of marine was he? Vayland Cal was a Techmarine right, was Sollex one as well?

They once were fleet based, but now live on an asteroid belt. I imagine they have built a fortress somehow. Also they say in the codex they have their own forges and can make new tanks and such.

That's all I got for now! Not a lot on the Sons on the net, but I'm hoping other fans of this chapter will help me out and start some discussion. Also feel free to show off your Sons!

Do you have the Forgeworld IA Badab Wars PT. 2? There is heaps on them on page 94!

Yeah there's not a lot of lore for the SoM in the main codex, but I believe that they make an apperance in one of the Imperial Armor books

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

It's sad, watching Chaos Corruption happen to someone in real-time. I bet, had we caught it on time-lapse video, we could see the moment his mind snapped.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

I don't know what happened? I thought the posts looked really good.
Do you think that he is an apostle or merely a victim of the cruelty of chaos?

I do believe that the inquisition would like to look into this though.

Of note: Poster becomes tainted when researching the infamous Schism of Moraire.

I am requesting additional assets to continue with the investigation.

Something about Sons of Medusa does not sit right.
