Another interesting bit from Cracked interviewing a VC Guerrilla about the Vietnam, America, and his thoughts on how Americans and Vietnam today remember the war.

I agree with the comments section that the man was probably heavily filtered by whoever did the interview.

I noticed a surprisingly small number of quips, but that was probably necessary, or else the whole thing would just be too dark.

He straight up admits to killing wounded US GI's. Honestly, I suspect that short section has less to do with filtering and more to do with the guy really not wanting to talk about it. I've talked to plenty of Vets (of other wars mind you), and things like that? No one on any side of the conflict really wants to talk about it.

But why do that on a comedy site?
Why not have a site for the serious stuff they have?

Cracked has an agenda like anyone else. Half their stuff is comedy stuff, the rest is SJWing or thinly veiled political crap.
Also, I came here because I thought this had something to do with Venture Capitalists.

I should have made myself more clear. I was meant the terminology that was being used to express his ideas because it seemed heavily westernized.
The article itself was fascinating. I know the Americans had a phrase for soldiers that went missing by saying that they were, "Eaten by a Tiger"
True enough about people not wanting to talk about it. I have a cousin that was crew chief on a couple of Marine helicopters that were shot down. One was over Cambodia where we weren't supposed to be, and he was the lone survivor. Since we weren't officially there, no rescue mission was sent and he had to slog for days through the jungle, avoiding patrols, until he got back to a base in Vietnam.
To say he was bitter is an understatement, and there isn't a heck of a lot he talks about concerning his time there. He definitely has had years of problems re adjusting, especially since he is Agent Orange poisoned.

Because the Cracked authors kind of just do whatever they like. A lot of their interviews have been really good or at the very least, interesting (the ones about life as a porn actor or being a teacher were both excellent)

Ah yes. Usually what Cracked does is do the interview and then rewrite the answers themselves into something more humorous (this was likely the least funny interview they've done yet, but some of the info inside was certainly insightful).

But those are still lighthearted. It's lately they have done some darker stuff.
I think Crack is going downhill, it's like the authors want to be serious journalists, but fail.

This was an excellent article and I loved getting the perspective of someone on the "other" side of a war. I love these interview articles, because they get the inside look at some interesting topics. Only one or two have fallen flat, in my opinion. The vast majority have been excellent.
And I gave up on Cracked for "pure" comedy a while back. They still write articles worth reading, though. They are just less humorous.
