So I've built a count as sicaran for my deathwatch. It's based off a land raider hull. I moved the center of the chassis back a bit to make it look distinct from a land raider. I replaced one of the bolters with optics so it only has the single heavy bolter. The side sponsons I decided to keep the shielding off of so it looks a bit more distinct. I decided early on that I wanted it to have a more anti-air vibe than the sicaran. I finally found a use for my stormraven turret . The main guns are from the stalker box. It's a bit larger than the sicaran, probably an inch and a bit longer but I can't see that being advantageous. I'm hoping to have it painted pretty soon.

Still hoping to add a few more inquisition symbols, I'm waiting on more brass etched currently.

I'm really stoked with how it turned out, can't wait to down some fast movers.

Why didn't I think of that.

Sir, you make me wish to smash my scratchbuilt Predator I have nearly finished.

That came out wonderfully. Thanks for the inspiration.

It is a nice, well executed conversion. My only minor quibble is that the turret looks too imbalanced.

It's a nice effort, and while the chassis is cool, the turret just doesn't do it for me.
Too clunky looking and non-symmetrical.

Oh Yeah hopefully a 30k one this time.

I actually like the turret. It has a clear Space Marine aethetic, but is different enough to make me think I'm not looking at a converted Land Raider.

Nice! Really good use of the hunter bits and the turret.

Very cool, I like it a lot. Do you have an instructional for the turret and the front piece over the heavy bolter? Given that a LR, especially used, is much cheaper than a sicaran this seems like a good conversion for the price.

Basically you take the piece that houses the heavy bolter and cut it down to the protruding scanner thing on the left side (maybe quarter inch cut), this will give it enough space to fit snug further into the chassis. You'll also need an old rhino/predator front armor piece. On the side I just only put one lascannon and didn't include the shielding that's meant to cover both guns. Used bits from the stalker instead of the normal optics.

Very cool conversion and love the look of the tank. The only issue I could see people having would be the turret is significantly higher than on an actual Sicaran. Having said that I wouldn't care personally as it is such a cool conversion.

@bladeiai I guess you could measure the aiming point from the sighting system on the other side of the turret to reduce any advantage given by height if you wanted to?

After looking at a land raider and the sicaran side by side it's actually not as much of a discrepancy as I was imagining in my mind. But yeah the lower targeter is about the right height.
