Sammael in Sableclaw cannot join a unit of Landspeeders right?

Is he an IC? Even if he were an IC, what unit types can an IC explicitly never join?

ICs may never join Units containing Monstrous Creatures or Vehicles.

Ergo, Sableclaw Sammy can't join a squadron of Land Speeders.

He also loses Independent Character when riding Sableclaw.

Was gonna say his unit type changes from Jetbike(Character) to Vehicle (Fast, Skimmer) so surely that means he could join a Speeder squadron??

Where are you finding rules allowing vehicles to join each other?

He's not an IC in the skimmer.
Vehicle units can't join each other.
