So I put Iron Arm and Force up on Ahriman and Enfeeble on a unit of Lychguard with the Necron Overlord before charging in to try to get the Warlord kill.

Necron player fails a couple Invulnerable Saves in the ensuing challenge and tells me that although the RP roll is modified, he just takes single wounds from stuff that is double toughness (Ahriman's strength 9 AP2 vs. the Enfeebled Lord's Toughness 4)

So what happens?

Ask him to show you why he thinks it works that way.

Overlords don't have Eternal Warrior. They can still be killed outright by Instant Death if they fail all their saves (including RP, which I know is not a save).

There is a necron warlord trait that gives EW, he might have had this trait. If something sounds too good, make sure to ask your opponent to show you the rule.

He had zealot I think.

He suffers an unsaved wound and due to the ID rules, will be reduced to 0 wounds.

So the Overlord better pass that RP!
