so, generally, i'm thinking about maybe running a local tourny or something fun like that. But what is the best for a standard game, say from 1hour to 3 hours

2500 is the sweet spot for Fantasy. 2.5 hours per game is allotted, but that's plenty of time for people who are comfortable with the game.
I usually finish my 2500 tournament games in 1.5-2 hours.

probably not a certain amount of days. I'm thinking 1-3 games a week type of thing. and the winners play the winners and the losers play the losers. You get points for winning and after say, 2 months, well see who wins.
