Just like last month, this poll will run for 48 hours, with the highest-polling entry being the theme for next month's challenge and the second-highest given another shot in the next Subject Poll.

For May 2015, the subjects you can vote on are:

Rookie: "This is a gun, Private. You point it at the thing you want dead, and pull the trigger"- Your entry should look new to the battlefield, inexperienced or unprepared. This could be a model of typically low rank, or just emphasised by the painting.

Fast and Furious: " Brakes? Who needs brakes?"- Your entry should look fast. How you to this is entirely up to you, but could be anything from a simple bike or vehicle to a fully modelled diorama showing the model's speedy path across the battlefield!

Three Colour Maximum: You Shall Count to Three, and Three is the Number You Shall Count To!"- You may use no more than three colours on your entry. You are allowed variations on these colours, but only 3 colours must be visible on the miniatures. For example, painting in black and white with a single spot colour, or representing a coloured light source shining on the minis.

Out of Place: "You ain't from around here, are you?"- Your entry should consist of models used for something other than their original purpose. For example this could be a Fantasy mini given the Inq28 treatment, an Ork as an Orc, or a historical mini with a fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk ect. makeover






For those who missed the first thread last month, this challenge is open to anyone of any level of skill or experience, and in terms of what can enter, I'll be as lenient as possible, so the chances are so long as your entry is at least tangentially related to the theme it should fit in! The results each month will be decided by community poll, and a league will be set up to track your points over time. For the full rules, see the current Challenge thread.

So, ladies and gents, what do we want to see and paint in May?

My vote goes to "Three Colour Maximum" - Images using that technique (all black and white and grays with a single spot color) look stunning so it would be interesting to see the same in a miniature.

Then again, most people are painting the miniatures for their armies so this probably isn't such a good idea.

Got some Kum bikers to paint up so I voted F&F.

I voted 3 color for artistic reasons.

But F&F would give me an excuse to paint my jetbike autach.

I can't decide between Fast & Furious and Three Colour Maximum, I'd love to get some more of my Ork Ruff Ridaz done, but the colour scheme of the Sons of Malice just seems waaaay too fitting with the Three Colour Maximum rule

Well technically the Speeder is assigned to my Blood Angels, but as it's due a repaint I could repurpose it. That and my 3 bikes would be a challenge, but doable...

The 3 colours (since you include black & white as colours) isn't far from what I paint with now... Yea I should be able do that, I'll have to chose my third colour carefully for a model...

Wish I'd voted for rookie now, that sounds easier. Or actually the out of place, I have a whole 40k army made from fantasy... nuts.

Fast & Furious it is. Nephilim vs finishing off one of the Ravenwing command squad I failed to finish last time hmm.

No idea what I'll do. I've got some land speeders, a drop pod... I dunno. Isn't there some kind of land speeder conversion made out of speeder parts and drop pod parts? Like a tempest or something? I don't play 40k any more so all of my marine stuff is just bitz fodder so I don't need it to be a specific thing in a game... just something that would look cool parked in a space port or on my landing pad.

As much as I would love the challenge of the 3 color maximum, I have an awful lot of Ravenwing Black Knights I've been meaning to paint....

Every git has Trukks....

I like the 3 color max, but all my models are for armies so that wont fit . I vote F&F so I cant start working on my Thunderbolt.
