This is my first game vs the newest blood angel codex with my renegades and heretics so i didn't quite know what to expect. But there just marines right? how hard can it be?. We played a maelstrom of war mission to keep things interesting, but we rolled the mission where you start with loads of objectives and get less each turn. The game was fun but i have to say i didn't like the mission much.

Hope you enjoy.

He's just a regular DC dread with blood talons pretty much

Being a troop is the only thing unique about him

Nice picture bat-rep and good to see some of that old, 2nd Edition card terrain still being put to good use The only feedback I could give would be a few more close-ups at tabletop level. The heretics looked interesting, and I would have liked to see some better shots of them in action.

Yeah Deadlock is definitely the roughest Maelstrom mission, but I've found it pays to go hard on those early objectives to get a headstart that your opponent hopefully wont be able to equal given his own reduced option.

I thought you both had very low objective totals for a maelstrom mission by the end of the game. Perhaps you got distracted with engaging his troops?

He's also a character which is neat. So he can accept and dish out challenges which is nice.
