I admit that although I can paint pretty good with many colours, skin tones is not one of them. Was wondering, do anyone have any tips n painting dark elf skin tones since they are supposed to be a pale and I do not know how to get that effect.

i prefer a pale skin tone as i feel it shows detail better. i use a rakarth flesh base, wash with reikland fleshtone, then build up your highlights on raised areas such as eyebrows, chin, nose etc, with increasing additions of pallid wych flesh to the rakarth.

Rakarth Flesh->wash lightly with black, blue, or purple(might seem a bit strange to not use flesh tone--but the black, blue, or purple add a "cold" look to the flesh that really makes it stand out)->Pallid Wych Flesh.

To be honest, I modify that technique somewhat and think it gets results closer to the photos than following his exact step for step. The modification is instead of reapplying the basecoat in certain areas as a highlight after the wash I highlight the light grey with an almost white before the wash. Subtle difference, but it makes for smoother highlights imo.

i find skin tones is all about having the right colors
for DE could be as easy as navy, grey, with a light blue dry brush
to burbonic brown - utashi bone with a little peach dry brush to taste

Well for pale colors I start with very light blue and then over it paint light skin tone in that way blue still manages to show trough pink/white/tan colors.
