Hi all, as the title suggest i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of how to make SM serfs?

i'm attempted a Angry Marines army, not to use competitively but just as a bit of fun with my friends.

The wargear they have is a Bolter and Chainsword, and i'd like it to be WYSIWYG so ideally they would all have it.

The models i was thinking of using, in the fluff for Angry Marines the serfs are all Guardsmen that were supposed to be killed by Grey Knights, so using Guardsmen is the most "accurate" model to use.

Anyone have any input on this? Would be greatly appreicated

Serfs would probably be robed and stuff. or in generally partially mutated from the SM program IIRC

IF anything why not just use scout parts.

My bolter-equipped Cadian sergeants generally have Scout bolters. You can get the 5-man box and then do up the actual scouts with BP/CCW or shotguns. I'm planning on converting the shotguns to sniper rifles.

Scouts seem to be the go-to option then!

Regarding the robes, do you think that some DA parts would go well? Some of the chests are completey covered in robes, some legs are but they are all in power armour, these guys ain't.

You could use the Empire Flagellent bodies from the Fantasy range. Only real issues with those is that they wear no armor. Or shoes.

They have robes though.

If they're just serfs who are fighting alongside the angry marines then maybe some bandaged cadians in beat up armor. For the voter & chainsword route cadians already have chainswords included on their frame, I'd use the grenade launcher & cut it away, replace it with a boltgun & you're good.
