From the TO:
"I'm comfortable with the restriction that players may not field non-codex models with ranged D weapons, so if your book that starts with the word CODEX has it (lol Eldar) then you're good, otherwise no. "

Meaning, he's okay with an initial open stupidity run with the book. That myself and maybe one or tow others will bring elves, is not a worry of breaking the tourney.
Still, I plan to attend with this filth:

HQ
Spiritseer

Troops
4 jetbikes - no upgrades

You need your War Walkers to each have 2 B-lances to 2 Scatts, not 1 of each, that way one of your weapons isn't waste by shooting at a target it cant hurt (like Scatts vs high armour), or will only do minimal damage (like the B-lance killing 1 guardsman)

Since you have no transports, I highly doubt anyone will have reason to complain (other than the WK). I would be very wary of any list with dedicated assault units. My Daemons would have a field-day against this list

At the moment, no. I don't plan to fiddle the models I own to WYSIWYG and ... I wanted points efficient troops to pile in the other stuff.

No Serpents? So you'll have 40 infantry types and 10 Wraithguard just hoofing it? 'Fear my 12" guns. They'll really hurt you in four turns!' Get rid of a Formation, Avengers if you ask me, and get some actual transports for the models that need them. You're easily giving up 1st Blood with the War Walkers, taking Ld checks every time you lose a bike, footslogging it with everything else and have VERY limited psychic support.

Thanks. That is a codex-hangover on my part. So, yeah, they will get upgraded to dual B-lances each ... that's 15 more points. Maybe a Reaper or Jetbike out ...

Khorne Dogs and other fast Daemons, yeah, you're right. Always seems to be one heavy Scissors/Paper match. Thanks.

Rhinos are good, because they're cheap. Drop Pods are about the same price and even better. 6e Waves Serpents were great because they were an awesome gun boat. Now, they're neither. Foot dar it shall be.

WG? Yes. 300+ points of ... let's try 'em out. They sucked before, they're prolly gonna suck now. Really more of a knee-jerk reaction to the Sky-is-Falling Rage Quitters who are pooping their drawers over "Ranged- D"

Psy support is not the Spiritseer's role. He's a 'reroll your ones' kinda dude. If I wanted Psy, then the Seer Council will be in. ... Prolly replacing the WG once I come to my senses.

Giving up FB with the WarWalkers? I Outflank them pretty much every time.

Jetbikes. Yes, they will take a Morale Check for one dead. I've been fielding them that small for over a year, to good results. Thus, MSU.

Thanks for getting me to think about taking WG out for actually bringing Psy as a wepaon with a farseer and council and such.

They are right to be confused, and your logic is flawed. There is no more "points effecient" troop than a 3+ T4 36 inch moving 4 str 6 shots unit at 27 ppm.

Point taken. Long, strong guns on top of already fantastic JBs ... very well, yes, I'll find 60 or so points and put on the bigger guns. No one that I play with will have issue. In fact, they'd prolly raise eye brows if I didn't have the full cheese.

Thanks

A foot seer council isn't great. It's arguably quite poor, a bike council is a different matter. They're are incredible. You can zoom on, get whichever short range powers you want, and then get the hell out of dodge fast.

I genuinely think the dire avenger shrine is a really really poor choice. And I think it's probably the worst formation option in our book. You'd be better off ploughing those points in to objective secured bikes. Multiple 3 or 5 man units make scoring objective points very easy.

I wouldn't write Wraithguard off before you've used them. They're very good. And even better with scythes. I ran them in 6th and they were good then. But they did need serpents and still do. So, the serpent got a couple of nerfs, it's still a very very good gunboat, it's still the same transport, it's just appropriately costed now. You know a unit is unbalanced when it is spammed in almost every competitive list!

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them

Well looking at the latest version it looks like a fun list rather than one for competitive play. I'm going to largely agree with Khaine's Wrath.

Jetbikes without guns is often a waste. Having so few is probably a mistake. War Walkers are a bit meh.

Footslogging Aspects are largely useless. The exceptions are DRs who's strength is support AA & AT which requires different equipment. You can also get away with MSU Scorpions and Banshees due to the RaW pace or USRs. Foot DAs are terrible still. Hawks and Spiders are OK, though benefit from greater target saturation.

Footslogging Council is a load of points for very little benefit. To easy to ignore when on foot.

Wraithknight wants at least 1 shoulder gun, preferably 2, with Scatter Lasers as my preferred choice. Not only does this diversify their firepower but also allows them to engage more targets. You'll generally kill whatever you points the Wraithcannons at so having the Scatters shoot something else so you can charge a separate target is hugely useful. Also they work best in multiples much like Imperial Knights they on their own any remotely competent opponent can deal with it, however multiples cause problems unless you've specifically built with them in mind.

Finally taking a CAD makes absolutely no sense here. Swap that for a Wind Rider Host and not only do you unlocked as many Wraithknights as you want but also all your Footslogging stuff gets to autorun 6" to help negate the poor threat range.

Overall it just looks a bit of a mess at the moment more a collection of models than a competitive army, and Eldar Flyer army will completely laugh you off the field for example. First start with a central idea (looks like Aspects are your thing?) Then build to support that idea. So what type of list do you want?

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

From the thread title I was expecting a broken list, but this seems relatively reasonable for competitive eldar. Not abjectly terrible, but definitely not utilizing the best options available.
