I am going to be running a Super heavy face off game soon.
I will be fielding the following on a 6x6 board against each other with as much cover as possible. Each unit starts in a different corner.

Do you think this is balanced at all or is it going to be a train wreck?

Eldar:
Revenant with two pulsars

Orks:
Big Mek Stompa with all the gubbins

Tyranids:
Hierophant

IG:
Shadowsword allied to Knight Errant (Only super heavies I have for IG. Alternatively could run two SSs but figure two tanks VS walkers will be carnage).

Each faction comes to circa 900-1000 points.

Im quite worried about the Heirphant to be honest. T9 and a 6++ isnt likely to last long VS all that D albeit hes a beast in hth. I was thinking of giving it a regen roll of 4+ VS every wound after each turn or go oldschool and give him a 3++ warp field?

Any tweaks you would make or opinions?

Revenant wins

Automatically Appended Next Post:
he can move across half the board in a single turn and still put out 4 STR: D large plates

I havent used him yet in a game tbh. But hes only armor 12 with 9 HPs and zero hth capability? Is he a glass cannon?

He has eldar titan holo fields and if any of the other Super Heavy actually get into melee with him you are playing him wrong. Each of his weapons shoots 2 STR: D large blasts from 60". He can move 36" per turn and fir everything. even if shooting attacks hit him they still have to roll to see if they actually do hit him and not a holo field image of him.

None of the other superheavys should be even able to catch him. He actually might be able to take on all 3 at once depending on the rolls, 2 for sure though.

Oh boy
Ok thanks anyways, I'll give it whirl and see how things come out. Am I correct in thinking no saves whatsoever can be taken VS D weaponary?

No saves can be taken against 6's only on the D-chart. The Eldar Titan Holo fields isn't a save though and they happen before you roll on the armor pen or D-weapon table. 6th ed apocalypse book pg 149

Did the Escalation rules not over ride 6th ed apoc though?

I don't have the escaation book but I was pretty sure the Revenant titan didn't change from Apocalypse to Escalation.

They did, the holofield is still in them. Just remember since it isn't a save you get it after they roll to hit on both shooting and ranged. Then if you somehow happened to be on a skyshield which gave you a 4+ invul, you would also get to make that save afterwards.

it's generally agreed that the eldar titans are criminally under pointed.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

One on one the revenant would beat any of these easily. So long as the eldar player kills the closest enemy to him quickly he should walk this in (barring an unlucky D hit)

That would be the Revenant and it is still more points than any other scout titan. The phantom also is the most points out of any superheavy currently in the game (No official rules for Warlord and Emperor Titans)
