So, I was recently in a local game store on a whim after being out and about doing some chores. The store has your standard split between Privateer Press and Games Workshop miniatures, neither of which really interests me.

I did happen to find a newly added section of Wild West Exodus, however, and upon my asking one of the store associates told me that a group of players had just been introduced to the game themselves, and were apparently going on pretty strong. I was given a rundown on the current factions and how the rules worked, and hopefully I'll be going back soon for a demo game or two.

Are there any Dakkites who'd like to give their opinion on the game? Is it worth getting into if I don't have another 28mm, fantasy/sci-fi game that I'm currently playing?

The only thing I'm currently a little apprehensive about is the cards - I definitely wasn't a fan of having to keep track of all the units and solos from my time playing Warmachine/Hordes.

Update: Well, the guys at the store convinced me. I picked up the mini-rulebook and decided to go with Warrior Nations.

Congrats, it's a great game with lots of flavor. I have Outlaws and Warrior Nation myself!

Interested in the rules for this, is there a quick-start out there to try? It looks like my Dystopian Legions models might fit.

Awesome picture! What color did you use for the skin? That's something I've been mulling over.

Outlaws would be a great second faction, I think. I just saw the new Mad Max movie and I want all of the Interceptors, Iron Horses, Blackjacks, Dust Cutters and Sand Buggies the Outlaws can get!

I found some Quick Start Rules and the old Beta 2.0 rules.

My buddy and I started wwx. We've played two games and they have been a blast. He went with enlightened, myself I've started lawmen.

We played the first two battles with the online rules. Yesterday I got the miniature rulebook and I can definately recommend getting the rules. There is a lot more you can do than you get from the short version.

WWX is an awesome game with a great backstory. I've really enjoyed it everytime my wife & I have played it. Unfortunately it's also a bit in-depth regarding setup, as is any ttwg, & with college & work (soon to be a baby here as well) we've just gravitated more towards quicker things like Dust tactics. I deeply miss playing WWX though.
