If I have both Pedro Kantor and a unit of honour guard in my list, do I have to put Pedro Kantor in that honour guard unit at the beginning of the game? If I do, can he leave that unit? If I do not have to start him off on that unit, but put him in that unit later, can he subsequently leave?

What portions of the BRB and codex should I see for this?

They do not have to start together. If they do start together, he can subsequently leave.

Sweet. Thanks! It was different in 5th edition.

Although....pedro in a squad of 9 honor guard are pretty nasty and not horribly expensive.
