with terminator armor?

in all seriousness though, I'd go light on upgrades. maybe a hammer or flamer, but the advantage srtrikes have over GKTs is their cost.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Is your meta going to have WraithKnights, Riptides or ImpKnights aplenty? Then a few more THs are due.

Psycannons and swords, maybe a hammer. Strike squads are too fragile and expensive to load up with special CC weapons, especially when the basic sword gives you a S6 AP3 force weapon if you get your psychic powers off. Psycannons are always worth the points though, and a 5 man unit with one makes a decent objective holder (I'd recommend combat-squads). Save your points for CC weapons on your terminators.

If you're going to run them as purifiers, halberds are worth considering since they benefit from it more with their 2 attacks and are going to be using their warp charges on cleansing flame. Swords are still fine on them too, though.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Psycannons on PAGK is a bad idea as this forces them to be stationary or fire a really weakish weapon.

I'd give them the incinerator and DS them in - if youre in range of infantry you can torch them on a 2+, leaving only TEQ and MEQ alive, the latter of which can then be handled by your S6 AP3 swords.

PAGK should take 1 Hammer per 5 models (not on your Justicar, who is better off with Melta Bombs), and Incinerators if you plan to be mobile (Psycannons if static, like in a bunker; Psilencers if you are list tailoring for a specific meta). I find Interceptors to be the best PAGK in the codex due to their mobility, while others prefer Purifiers for their extra attacks and Cleansing Flames. Strikes are considered subpar due to 33ppm GKT and the terribad Salvo rule that makes Psycannons useless on PA; only take Strikes to save points while unlocking better units, and realize you probably made the wrong choice as GKT are just better at even that. Purgatory are a missed opportunity that is currently fail outside of themed games.

Would you really pay +13 ppm to upgrade your 3+ save to a 2+, get a 5++ and +1 attack?

Every single time.

But on topic, it cant hurt to equip some halberds on the fella's either.

It's pretty funny because there arent many AP3 weapons out there, so things that deny PAGKs their armor usually also deny terminators theirs as well.

The 5++ only has marginal use in ranged situations as usually cover will give you a better save (and tau are the only army you'll really have to worry about stripping away your cover)

so only in close combat do the terminators really outperform their power armored brethren due to the 5++ and the extra attacks.

10 man with no weapons is best. It's not too expensive and keeps you mobile and focused.

You can equip a few falchions or halberds if you have spare points but most importantly give them a rhino - it's their only chance at survival early in the game. They aren't bad as many people say - you just can't take a small squad and expect them to survive. If they ever do get to charge a meq - they win.

I tend combat squad my Knights so what I am really doing is putting together two different squads. The first five have two psycannons and three swords. Their job is to sit on an objective and provide supporting fire with the psycannons.

The second squad gets two hammers and three halberds. On the charge that gets 4 S10 and 7 S7 attacks with hammer hand. I find these guys to be pretty survivable, not because of their armour, but because opponents tend to focus on terminators, dreadkhnights and hq squads. A 5 man squad just doesn't seem like a very high priority target.
