Is there a compendium out there somewhere that lists all the current datasheets that have been printed in white dwarf? Thinks like that blood angels formation or the new daemon units?

Cute, but those don't list everything I asked about; only formations and detachments. i'm curious about what new units might have been published as well. Besides I don't think those compendiums get updated very quickly?

I'm fairly certain that the only truly "White Dwarf Unique" unit is the Looted Wagon for Orks.

Might be wrong, but typically the Datasheets are just previews and are published in the following weeks actual product releases.

The new bloodthirster rules for daemon armies is a good example. Until a new codex comes out, the white dwarf rules are the only published rules

Gerantius is another example.

That new stupid fortification with the giant plasma gun that sold out in 0.000003 seconds.

So... Looted Wagons, Gerantius, 3x Blood Angels Formation, a Necrons Formation, the Cities of Death Expansion, the Plasma Obliterator and rules for taking Bloodthirsters of Khorne in a Chaos Daemons and not a Khorne Daemonkin list. Also, some missions, but those aren't units.

I think you outdid yourself there ! Great work !

Honestly, this is one of the advantages to maintaining your "rules and publications" collection in eBook format.

I use a program called Calibre to maintain and store all my eBooks. Within Calibre, I have a "Virtual Library" that only shows items tagged with the "Games Workshop/Black Library Gaming" publisher.

To get the above list, I simply picked my Warhammer 40k Virtual Library, highlighted the White Dwarf items, clicked open (defaults to table of contents view), clicked on rules and wrote down what I saw.

Having a physical copy is nice, but is MUCH harder to research and look through.

Combine that with the fact that ePub (one of the eBook formats G-Dubs uses) is really just a secret zip file, and you have even more fun available. If you take "filename.epub" and rename it as "filename.zip", you can simply unzip the file and you'll have folders with the text of the book as well as all the images. It's a great source for copy/pasting rules into one document (which I tend to do for the armies I play) and getting some snazzy backgrounds.

Haha! Probably the best compliment I've ever received in terms of this game.

Funny though, because I used to work for Games Workshop. Not in the studio (I wish), but instead I ran one of their retail stores in the US. Thankfully, I'm on to bigger and better things (big banking), but I still look fondly on those days.
