Has no one talked about how if you take a Castigator as your warlord in an Imperial Knight army that he gets BS 5 and WS 5. So now his bolt cannon hits on twos and he's hitting most things in close combat on threes. Most of the time he would be doing a Tempest Attack, but I could see this coming into play against other walkers or even other titans since he has strength 10 with Sunder. On top of all that since he is your warlord he can take "Heirlooms of the Knightly Houses" which are as follows.
(I'm only listing the ones that would matter)

Sanctuary for 15 points gives him his Ion Shield however, after you pick which facing it covers all his other facings get a 6+ invulnerable as well.

Mark of the Omnissiah for 30 points gives him "It Will Not Die", I like this one more than Sanctuary because it just makes him even more survivable.

Sanctuary doesn't say that it replaces your Ion Shield so I'd say you could cover TWO facings as you have 2 Ion Shields now. Also, for added hilarity field an Exalted Court formation with the Sanctuary bearer as the warlord. Enjoy your 3++ on 2 facings and 5++ on the rest!

I see an FAQ coming that will say that Sanctuary replaces his Ion Shield, but if not that would be hilarious

Are you sure we're discussing 40k?

I always made the castigator my warlord with the old codex, since he benefitted the most with BS, WS, and ion shield. Now I think he's still a good choice, but a warden might be better since his gun (1 less strength, but 12 shots) benefits more.

Even with all the goodies, the Castigator still suffers from the basic fact that it only has the one gun, so what it shoots at is what it is charging.
