I'm sorry, I'm just not paying £71 for a single earth shaker artillery carriage when I need three to make them worth while. I'm asking if anyone knows of a model of similar proportion that would make a belivable stand in?

Do a search for this in the Painting and Modeling sub-forum. I recall a thread which had some good historical kit options.

The problem is siege guns dont look like the FW ones. They are normally rail way mounted (see DORA or PARIS GUN and plenty more) or in a fixed position. I highly doubt you will find a Historical kit that will work at the size you need the Siege gun. You could however mix some parts with a basilisk or simply bite the bullet and get an epic 1:35 scale siege gun and add wheels. Either way it will take some converting I think. This was a conversion using a historical and something else kit.

The something else being the Carriage wheels, incidentally.
Personally, I got a free basilisk top(platform, gun shield and cannon) and a full basilisk that I pretty much split in the previously mentionned top, while the bottom part became part of a hellhound conversation.
I also have a random cannon someone gave me, but I have yet to build a base for it.
