Warning From Magnus? Not Listening!

Holy Terra.

Hi all!
I recently had a great idea to make Honour Guard, a Chapter Master and a Scriptor out of the plastic Grey Knight Paladins, not put of Whatsoever by the fact that it has been done millions of times bevor.(ill post photos of them soon) The Codex says that Honour Guard are clad in the "greatest relics of the chapter", so the fact that my Shadow Hunters work with the Inquisition, so also with G Knights, makes sence. What do you think? Would I be able to field them?

Happy Hunting,
Ember

Are you asking about fielding the honour guard termie models count as arti-armour?

Or fielding h-guard in termi armour?

The first is fine and legal; the second is discuss it with your opponent, you will have to agree on a small points increase(bp to sb, invul save, telly deepstrike, relentless if you are adding heavy weapons, etc) but it shouldn't be to big a problem in friendly game under "rule of cool".

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Holy Terra.

They have the (AWESOME) Grey Knight Nemessis blades, which Count as Energy weapons, and Stormbolters.
My brother land some of my friends are ok with using them, mostly because my Brothers Tau take them down in turn 1.

At this point the thread should be taken over to proposed rules(to help you hash out the points cost).

YMDC is more for clarification on existing rules.

I'll ask a mod to move it and help you there while on breaks today.

Fluff-wise i love the idea, but the simple ymdc answer is a patented no; this does not exist in the rules(hence: proposed rules).

(Looks towards BA assault terminators)

I remember when black Templars had terminator command squads and I believe honor guard, don't quite remember if those existed, but still, I miss that idea personally.

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

Combine the DA or GK Terminators with the BA Terminators (the DA/GK ones have Apothecary parts), and voila, you have a BA Terminator Command Squad.

It does seem rather weird that Captain Karlaen doesn't have a Command Squad, instead he uses the first squad, Squad Alphaeus. Of course, it also seems strange that there are TDA Sanguinary Priests.

I would just field them as Grey Knights honestly. Ally them in, say they're the best of the best in the chapter and have some psychic abilities and equipment to reflect that.

If you do want awesome looking honour guard look towards the veteran sets I.e. Sternguard and vanguard you can make some sick ass looking models using those two kits and for base size they are legal. Although if rumors are true I guess bigger bases are coming
