Which army do you think is best suited to use dreadnaughts? Loadouts and such aswell as uses? Each has their own merits from a glance with Iron Hands fielding them as elites, SW getting murderfang and shield n ax naughts, BA with libby naughts and DC naughts. Im so lost on which to go for I am looking to make a simple 1000 to 1500 point army for fun and teams haha.

Blood Angels have their Elites versions, that Librarian HQ version and the Troop Cassor the Damned, but he's Unique and can only be taken once. So, find one more troop slot and you're golden.
However, Space Wolves have Bjorn, that one with the claws and the face and the 13th Company Detachment that doesn't actually need Troops. You can fit a lot more Elites into that list and depending on points level, that might realistically be your only option for a FULL Dreadnaught force.
I'd go with the Blood Angels simply because of the amount of options there. Two Frag Cannon Furioso, one normal and a Contemptor Mortis with Kheres Cannons with a Death Company in troops and a Librarian in HQ. Add in a Scout Squad because you have to but that's the only concession you have to make.

BA with allied Iron Hands.
You could run 11 dreadnoughts is 1510 points base.
Smaller games means drop 1 dread.
Larger games mean better weapons.
Got to go BA on at least part of the force, psychic dreadnoughts it too awesome to pass up. Automatically Appended Next Post: Almost forgot, BA can get a dreadnought as a troop choice as well.
You could get 12 decently armed dreads for 1800.

Bjorn is cool, but being I3 has its drawbacks, Shield/Axe and murderfang really stand out in the book though. Helfrost is pretty fun, but nothing amazing.

I would say go Clan Raukaan so you can get the Ironstone plus the option for 6 Dreadnoughts and maybe some tech marines with plasma cannon servitors if you're feeling it.

BA can run an army composed ENTIRELY of Dreadnoughts using the Flesh Tearers Strike Force Detachment. Use a Librarian Dreadnought for your HQ(s), Cassor the Damned as your mandatory Troop Choice, and buy Cassor a FA Drop Pod using the mandatory FA slot. Then pepper it with three Elites Dreadnoughts (Furioso or otherwise) and Deredeo Dreadnoughts in Heavy Support.

I am also contemplating the exact same thing! But trying to make it competitiveish. So I at least have some sort of game vs some top armies...
Can you do CAD BA + allied detachment SW for Murderfang dread?

While those are nice ideas, Dreads have the issue that they aren't durable. If you really want lots of them, you really should be doing Iron Hands or Clan. You'll need Scouts, but the durability is more than worth it.

If you take Cassor in a Flesh Tearers detachment, you can take an army of just dreads, as it only requires 1 troops slot.
So Cassor + libby dread + 3 elite dreads + 3 heavy dreads. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oops. I should really read the entire thread before commenting. Sorry casvalremdeikun.

I second Raukaan. 4+ IWND bubble on six dreads with Techmarine / MOTF repair support bunkered in a pair of tac squads in a single CAD.

Dual Cad is a better bet. Run Champs of fenris with Bjorn, muderfang and an axe/shield dreadnought as your SW detachment to keep the all dreadnought theme.

No problem. Just remember that in order to do this you should buy Cassor a Drop Pod to fulfill the mandatory Fast Attack choice. That is Cassor's biggest downfall, no transport choice default.

The one that benefits the most would be iron hands. just for the IWND
But isnt there that one cool formation for space puppies? i forget what it does.
But they do get Storm shields so is already pretty useful.

Helbrutes have some good formations.
Could do a chaos cad with dreds and add one of the 5-helbrutes formation and have 8 dreds. throw in some defilers/maulerfiends/forgefiends from hs or whatever.
2 cultist units as tax, maybe a DP or 2 for HQ.

Could also take the Purge detachment. Take a DP for HQ. Then 6 dreads in elites and 4 maulerfiends in HS. No troops required.
