I remember there being something about a box set featuring marines and tau, and hearing about the rumor on Bell of Lost Souls, but since I first heard about It I haven't seen anything. Is there still something in the works?

I'm pretty sure it was just a rumor, but at best could be a new campaign supplement that they could be working on.

Last I heard it was Ravenguard vs Tau, but nothing since, the same as 30K plastic marines and Deathwatch.

Its entirely possible these things are all done and ready to ship but GW is holding them back for various reasons.

but Rumors are Rumors

Supposedly it was to come at some point after Codex: Space Marines was done.

Since Space Marines is next(confirmed as of this morning by GW itself), the clock is running.

More than a few rumor sources have since said its not going to happen. Many said the campaign was going to be TzeentchKin vs Dark Angels, some say there's just not going to be one.

The Campaign boxes sold amazingly well, so odds are GW has decided to stop doing them to keep from making money doing something people like.

I would guess that they might have some new space marine toy in the box and thats why they are waiting for the book to be released.

The campaign boxes appear to be every six months. We are about on that mark from Deathstorm, so we will probably be hearing more concrete rumors sooner or later. I doubt we will see Dark Angels in anything since Dark Vengeance is still readily available. I would put money on the next boxed set containing Space Marines of some kind. Probably going to have one of the newer Tactical Squads and some scouts. Doubtful that it will contain any of the newer sets. Deathstorm had the old Tactical Terminators in spite of the Blood Angels Assault Terminators coming out a week or two later.
