Hello Dakka!

I'm from southern Sweden and recently started collecting BA! I've always been fascinated by the models and I did buy me a few Dark Elves models a long time ago. I never really got into it though. But now i'm back, 17 years later, collecting 40K this time! I'm really looking forward to developing my army.

As for a noob question: I just got the BA codex and I have a question about the points cost for assault marines. If I remove the jump packs from them, do I also get to subtract the points cost for the jump packs (15 pts/model)? I've read through the rules and the codex but I can't really find the answer. My guess would be no, though.

Unfortunately no, you don't get to reduce their price for removing packs. You can take a rhino or drop pod for free in exchange for the packs though, which is quite a steal for a 5 man unit.
