This is a list I developed when considering going into a tournament where Knights were likely to be a good chunk of the events meta. The list is designed to create an immediate presence in both the front, mid, and backfield, while providing ample dakka against infantry, with a devastating alpha strike capable of downing 3-5 knights in a single turn. The full six 3x scatbikes for taking out everything short of heavy armor and working the objectives. Wraithknight to crowd control the midfield, double wraithcannon for knight killing potential with double scat as well to lend against the non-armor. The heart of the alpha, a cloudstriking unit of falcons with pulse/bright each carrying a group of 6 fire dragons from an aspect host BS+1, one of the groups is 5 but has an autarch with a fusion gun. No scatter on the first falcon then a 4" spread left to right, with further spread from the disembarkation + battle focus should give each unit a view of a non-ion facing. Falcon group itself will be be bringing 9 str 8 ap 2 shots with 3 lances against a knight, and each unit of fire dragons at BS 5 statistically explodes a knight with percentage points to spare. Finally I opted to cut some other bikes I was running for a Crimson Hunter Exarch, the clear counter to this is flyrants or hellturkeys and I wanted something to throw at them. I think this list will be completely busted against AL or other knight based formations, and incredible against any other traditional lists that run a mix of infantry and armor. Again the clear weakness is flyers, but the list is not pretending to be TAC, but rather a hammer to a meta prediction.

It's really hard to land 3 falcons where you want them.
I would consider Ghostwalk Matrix to land in the difficult ground without risk. Vectored engines let you land with the ramp facing the enemy, and then rotate after firing the top turrets.
They add some points to the unit, but often I find them worthwhile.

Are you talking about scatter? There is no scatter with the Falcon squadron's cloudstrike rule.

Yeah no scatter on the Falcons so that's not a concern.

I think he's saying that 3 falcons have a large footprint.

They do, about a 17-20" inch spread from left to right if you attempt a straight line, however it's not much larger than you're target if you're going after a knight formation lol.
