Just finished this guy. I am pretty happy with him for my ability.

Will have to wait for the new SM codex to figure out rules. No power axes for C:SM Terminators in 40k right now. But maybe there will be a special/relic weapon I can use.
The shoulder pads are from PuppetsWar and the axe head is from the steam punk weapons from Maxmini. I like axes with my Silver Skulls because they are head hunters.

Right now, I think the CMs can take power axes but I might be mistaken.

Very nice overall, The OSL on the eyes is very nice IMO.

Space Marine captains/masters can take power weapons, which this most certainly is. At the very least you can call it a power axe, giving him +1 ST and AP:2 when he swings. The downside is the axe is unwieldy.

One other hing you could consider, and the toothy axe blade helps this, is to give him the Teeth of Terra relic.

Just some ideas to think on and see about while waiting on the new codex.

The axe blade seems a bit flat, coloring wise. Really like the scroll on his chest.

That's a great conversion, and fits really nicely with the theme. My only qualm is the axe itself. It looks something that would be wielded more by a Techmarine or a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus. I think that something that looks more like an executioner's axe might have been a better fit.

I like axes for these guys as they are headhunters, and the steam punk axes are used throughout the army. I like them because they are different. However if I had a large double headed war axe handy I would have used it.

Finally finished this awesome metal chaplain. I have a thing for SM chaplains. IMHO they are nearly all top shelf sculpts.

So after applying matte varnish I put all my finished Skulls on my display board. I have just over a Demi-company.

Those are some cool ~~Iron Warriors~~ Silver Skulls you have there. I feel like the black color on the command squad and the Chaplains could be a little underwhelming, but they look good nonetheless.
