Hey mates, quick noob question for you all. When it comes to the weapons it can take, which is more effective overall and can it fire on both Air and Ground targets at normal BS? Appreciate the help.

not since 7th edition anymore, when the rule for Interceptor got changed. Hence I think the quadgun is the better purchase, as 4 shots firing at infantry will do more damage than 1.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

The quad gun is considered to be superior to the Icarus array. And both guns have skyfire so they fire at bs1 at ground targets.

Keep in mind that Skyfire still lets you fire at full BS against Skimmers too...

I'm going to be the odd man out here and throw my vote in for the Icarus Lascannon. In my meta at least, AV12 is the norm for flyers and frankly, I just find the S7 isn't reliable enough for taking them down. I prefer the higher strength and ap 2, plus it's cheaper, so if you don't end up needing it, it's not as huge a point sink.

Quad Gun for me, granted the higher AP & strength of the lascannon is tempting I personally prefer the extra shots

Quad-Gun for volume of shots and its (iirc) cheaper then the Lascannon.

Although, I do hope you're not relying on an Aegis Gun as your sole AA, regardless of which gun you take, it'll end badly for you. They are great for supporting your own fliers, not so great by themselves as an offensive piece.

What if the ADL is already supporting some IG? Would you think the extra 50 points for some AA is worth it?
