LOL, tell him welcome to 30k until FW puts out a FAQ.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Lol, really? I guess removing the MotF is entirely appropriate given their "less content for higher prices" business model these days...

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

If they drop the Master of the Forge, I hope they drop Epistolaries and Chapter Masters too...

They didn't. CM is an upgrade to the Captain.

Same as Blood Angels, just house rule it to the nearest appropriate model. An HQ Techmarine, Blood Angel Chaplain, that sort of thing.

Techmarines got bumped up to 2W AND can take a Conversion Beamer.

But why remove the MoTF???
It'll be fine as long as Techmarines get either T5 or an invun or both

I run an army with two contempors and two sicarian tanks. Hopefully this is still an army after a quick faq :(

GW decided that everyone now had this type of formation, so they invalidated it and the book will bump something that no one uses to Godly levels so that you have to buy that. Centurions, I'm looking at you!

My group is letting people take them as dictated by the old codex because it was an interesting unit that a lot of people liked. So just house rule it back in.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

One, the tank's name is Sicaran. Sicarian is a unit in the new AdMech army.
Two, emails to FW have previously shown that a simple BA chaplain fulfills the requirement. Given that precedent, an HQ techmarine should do the same for SM.

Waiting for an official FAQ from Forgeworld will largely be an exercise in futility. As long as they're paying the HQ tax for the relics, is it really that much of a problem if the HQ's name isn't quite right but it still performs the same battlefield role?

Im super glad I havent invested much in forgeworld units for my marines. I would be pretty upset if I couldnt use them now. In tournaments obviously, Im sure I could use a techmarine in a friendly game and someoen would let it count.

The Master of the Forge is no longer its own seperate entry. However, Techmarines have the MOTF statline, cost 25 points less than a MOTF, and can buy a servo-harness for 25 points. And they can take Conversion Beamers.

FW just needs to FAQ it and I'm sure they will because FW generally cares. (Also they better cuz I use two Fire Raptors goddammmitttt)
