Subject: Thinking of Talos, as a competitive choice, which allies to take?

I've been thinking about using Talos,
Led by a Dark Artisan as warlord,
Urien Rakath boiling with malice,
Many Talos can dismantle a horde,
Splinter and assault sweep them off the board,
The tough targets are also no problem,
Monsters with fleshbane leave a Wraith Knight floored,
Against vehicles monsters are awesome,
Though not awesome enough to cause boredom,
Imperial Knights are a bad match up,
Allies we need to help Talos blossom,
To kill Knights so victory we can sup,
Should I take scourges for haywire goodness,
Or take Wraith Guard to take care of business?

Farseers to give them Invisibility
With that you'll decrease their vulnerability
Always have Spirit Probe on that Cronos
Turns a Talos into a freaking boss

With six inch of movement, I don't wish to be rude
But Talos as a Deathstar is kinda screwed
No matter where on the board you put them
Eldar, Marines and Tau will just shoot them
And even in combat, it has to be said
Thunderous Iron Priests will just leave them dead
So here is the truth - word to your mother
Talos? Afraid not. I would not bother.

Mother and bother don't rhyme. 9/10 for effort though.

Erm, i could rhyme but it's late, so i really don't have the ti...effort.
I don't suggest Eldar allies at all, as a Dark Eldar player once you start taking Eldar allies then where do you stop? Almost everything Eldar have is a better version then what DE have, so any Eldar allies are a slippery slope.
But on the other hand, the Dark Artisan formation is great. It's the safest possible place for a Dark Eldar warlord other then not taking one. It's also a great unit for board control, pretty beefy and i can't think of many units that can scare it anywhere.
If your looking for allies, look for Harlequins. Freakish Spectacle works very well with the Harlequin Ldship based tactics and the fragile Harlequins work well with a beefy linebreaker unit. Not to mention Harlequin Caress is surprisingly good at scaring away Knights, having a unit of 5 in a Starweaver within reach of our Dark Artisan formation will make the Knight think twice about charging in.

Eldar pair very well with talos. Anything that gets near the 5 is free vp. That makes for a pretty good chunk of boartd control. Just try and catch jet bikes with those five linebackers in the way.

Mother and Bother are syllabic, general rhyming words. No they are not perfect, doubke rhyming words, but if it's good enough for Coleridge, it's good enough for me.
The only way I'd rate that Talos formation would be if it were invisible... Seercouncil allies?

Bother can rhyme with father,
Mother can rhyme with brother,
But it's a crime to rhyme, bother with mother
