The covens book makes mention of skeletally thin grotesque and it got me thinking of alternate models. Any ideas of third party or other gw models that might fit the size and look?

There are also drawings of wracks in much more fluid poses. I'm considering getting a box of witch elves and swapping heads for plastic wrack heads. Female, agile knife wielding wrack maniacs.

Maybe use an inquisitor arcoflagellant as a talks etc. Cool coven alternatives would be welcome!

Rat Ogres and Confrontation Beasts with leftover Talos/Cronos bits are the most popular options I've seen.

I've got a bunch of nicely converted ones out of warmachine spear guys but I want scrawny Tim Burton esque stuff. I assume I'd still use talos bits to convert but I'm not sure where to start.
Is there any cryx stuff that size?

Yeah, I failed at reading comprehension there. The Soulhunter Cavalry might fit your concept.

Crypt Ghouls? Those look good in almost any army. Especially as Mechanicum... Mmmmm. OK back on topic. Crypt ghouls with some DE bits and alternative heads as Wracks. I have no clue on the Grotesques though...

Confrontation minis are nice and cheap. Also, Dreamblade. Many of those make perfect grots after just a repaint or some minimal conversion.

The talos spares work really well on the grotesques.
