I mean almost every topic is people being upset at the game or GW as a whole. If I hated something as much as a lot of people seemingly do in the 40k community I wouldn't partake. There are lots of hobbies in the world.

Your quesiton is layered, so my response will be as well.
First, question your assumptions on the frequency of such behavior. I assure you, outside of the 40k discussions and Dakks Discussions few threads are about people being upset with GW. In most of those threads, people are on topic. So what you're really complaining about are a pluarlity of threads a handful of specific subforums.
Second, quesiton your assumptions about the motivation of that behavior. DO people upset with GW hate 40k? Or are they upset about its direction?
Third, do not assume that everybody here, is here for 40k. Dakka is big, and Dakka is old. I've been posting here better part of a decade, and I haven't played 40k as more than a curiosity in years. I'm here because I know people and I post in other areas.
Finally, if you're aware enough to notice patterns of bheavior, you're also aware enough to take steps to prevent it from bothering. Put people on ignore, avoid topics that look like whine fests, and focus your posting on areas that are fertile.
Unless, of course, this isnt' about how other people's behavior affects you, but instead about you wanting to dicate to others how to behave?

Surely you must be joking! Nothing but flawless logic from DMB as well.
I mean, its not like he actually bothers to read what people post, because if he did, he'd have a good understanding of the answer to his question.
Unfortunately, he doesn't, so continues to troll Dakka with useless threads like designed to inflame and divide people.
Classic.

I spend a lot of money on models. I had fun with them for a short time in 5th ed, when I started to play. And at the star tof 6th. I am not a world class tournament gamers, or a some genius army designer. But that does not mean I don't want to have fun with my army. I come to forums to find a way to make my army fun, to get news about new stuff and to find or fail to find in most cases a way to deal with new armies being played.

Here's an offer. Buy all of my 20,000pts+ of painted 40k models painstakingly assembled and painted over 20 years to the best of my (admittedly just average) ability at full retail. I will then have no reason to lament the reasons behind a continuing series of short sighted decisions made at my expense by the company who I used to enjoy giving large amounts of money to. I would partake in other aspects of this niche hobby instead. Until then, I will continue to offer my opinion regarding the largely negative changes that devalue my purchases (both literally and in terms of utility).

Well, the Mod team is reluctant to issue perma bans, as ultimately they're futile because if someone is determined to be disruptive they'll sign up with a different username (eh, Daly?) so bans of up to a month are issued.
There is a dedicated team that looks for correlations in syntax, references etc to pick up duplicate accounts, but it isn't a flawless system.
Ultimately, if someone is determined to be a piloock, all can really be done is stand on them as soon as possible by reporting it and don't indulge blatant trolling.

Permanently? Not entirely sure. Creating multiple accounts to game the system in some way might do it.
As for temp bans, well breaking the rules either many times or hard enough in one go should get you a temporary vacation.
Been there, got the medal.

My painting is probably lower than yours. I started in 1994. Q: Do I still enjoy 40k? A. definitely. Q. Do I disagree with some of GW decisions? A. yes, some Q. Do I pop regularly into threads and post my distaste/dislike/rant/disagreement/annoyance? A. No. it gets pretty tedious. Both reading and digesting it. Its rehashesd in 40k general, dakka general discussion and whfb general over and over again. Look. This is is not a cheap pop at anyone but a general discussion thread can only end up so many ways before it gets boring to read with another " GW is....." This thread is not about DMB, nor why people hate 40k. Its DMB trying to (maybe say) leave off the gas peddle when it comes to another negative GW discussion, in threads that arent directly related to said negativity. And yes you can turn any thread into a negative GW one - rules, tactics, background etc but....we get it. Things arent perfect but how many times can one say the same thing?
