Is there anything that says how big a fortification can be or how much can fit behind it?

If i put an aegis defense line in a list does that mean that I can make it big ebnough to put an entire army behind it?

Where there are models available, it is generally accepted that they are the dimensions that should be used. may even be RAW, but not 100% on that.

So it comes with 4 long pieces and 4 short pieces for 50pts. If you can fit your whole army behind it, which I doubt then sure, but if you take more than those 8 pieces you must pay the points for more. And I am pretty sure the rules just state that one piece must touch another piece, so you could in effect just stretch it out in a long line.

The rules say that they assume you are using Citadel Miniatures. Hence, the rules assume that you're using the actual Aegis Defense Line model. Using anything longer or taller would generally be considered modelling for advantage. MFA is almost universally frowned upon and is straight up forbidden in most organized play events (tournaments, FLGS gaming nights, etc).

Yup. Whats been said above. I have a Nid version of the ADL and it comes the same way. 4 long 4 small (with some extra mid pieces to help link them together or be used as Tank Traps).

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
