I was cleaning out my closet the other day and found this model buried in the back in his box.
I dunno when I got it, but it looks cool and I thought about using it as a base for a Ork Stompa but I'm a bit unsure where to start or if its a good idea. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on where to start with a model like this.
Thanks!

Do you have a rough size comparison to 40K models? And that looks like a fantastic basis for a stompa, I'd suggest Ork armouring it, things like heavy mechanical boots, chest armour, shoulder pads etc, perhaps have a platform on its back/sides with Doc's "Encouraging" it to go forwards etc.

When I was looking on Dakka earlier, I saw someone else used this model to make a gargantuan squiggoth. ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/258877.page)
It's uh.....large.
I like the idea of armoring it. I've got spare plasticard and ork Bitz to give it a cobbled together look. Just gotta figure out something to do with that head.

The head isnt too bad, I'd take a look at the squiggoth from forgeworld on how to armour it, an Iron Jaw wouldnt go amist, possibly some crudely stabled up old scars, you might want to go all out and give it a bionic eye
Armour the head like this:

Personally i'd want to chop off an arm at the elbow and turn its forearm into some big nasty gunz, like the way the stompa is. Then i'd look at going about giving it some sort of lazer eye (gaze of mork) and then generally just armour it up!
Maybe have some orks on chains swinging from it with gunz and such?
